You have some really good sounds here! &mdash 11/13/05 - 05:54:19 PM
Very original, and nice builds with the energy. I like the beat with the
vocals, and I like the interplay of the synths with the guitar!!!!!!

I really like this. Nice wind. The artwork looks otherworldly...coupled
with the wind, the voices, and the primitve drumming easily transports
me somewhere.

The synth that leads into the second section was shocking in how loud
it is. But I guess it sets up the expectations for the loud guitar.

Speaking of, if I said I wanted the guitars more prominent in the mix,
which one of you would smack me? I'm guessing SGF. I think it's great
the way it is.

This is the first time that I have knowingly consumed
bit patterns that were once inside a Quad. I'm not washing
my ears for a week.

... to hear a SGF intstrumental/beat thing have this much edge in the
guitars...

Retains the SGF sound and feel but has a whole other dimension.

How many of you... &mdash 11/13/05 - 11:02:22 PM
...think that Pie got all tingly when he typed G5 Quad Powermac?

There's little more to say that WOW about something this fabulous. I
hope you guys collaborate again because this is absolutely perfect
(except for that vibe of gloating I'm sensing, especially during the
guitar parts, for some reason... :-) )

This reminds me of the soundtrack work that The Police did for
Brimstone and Treacle. I've had you guys on repeat all evening and
your song stands the test of continued playing.

Marvy!

I also can't believe that this song has a rating in the low 8's. This is a 9.5 if I
ever heard one!

Freaking bombers.

How many of you... &mdash 11/15/05 - 10:19:32 AM
Hee hee, I'm madly jealous of Pies new Mac,
Funny you should say about repeat playing of a track, usually by the time I've
done a track, I'm pretty much sick of it, but for the months we have worked on
this particular song, I can honestly say that I havent yet tired of hearing it. and it
is played a LOT in my car... heh heh

fascinating &mdash 11/14/05 - 12:22:50 AM
Great soundtrack material. It's a very harmonious blend of the two of
you. I can't think of much to say. Great sounds, guitar licks, and
production. A little trippy. I like.

Only nit is that it cuts off at the very end; the wind should fade away, not
just cut off.

fascinating &mdash 11/15/05 - 10:21:19 AM
Yeah, sorry about the cut off at the end, it was unintentional.
Glad you like it though. :-)

Shwahhhhh &mdash 11/14/05 - 02:36:06 AM
Okay, this is NOT Soft Rock! I'd go either pop or electronic, but you gotta'
get "soft" out of that category... great guitar work by Pie and wonderful
arrangement by the legendary Slimmie!

Way to go!

Shwahhhhh &mdash 11/14/05 - 02:47:06 AM
I'm gonna start a campaign to get a new genre entitled 'Rock'. Rock and roll
just doesn't cut it. I can't believe there isn't a Rock genre here. You gonna
back me up?

Cheers for the feedback.

Graphic fits music very well. Heated, arid, sometimes disorienting, bright,
sometimes harsh, high contrast and beautiful.

very clean, very pro. Two talented players. very nice. Guitars had a Jeff Beck-ish feel to them. Or should say they had a Pie-ish feel to them. SlimGF, incredibly tasty as usual. Great job

cool sound &mdash 11/14/05 - 09:21:38 PM
i really like the sound, it starts off very catchy and just kind of drags you
in waiting for what happens next. i really like the synthesized sound. it
sounds like it could be a chase scene in some psychological thriller.

Another great journey &mdash 11/15/05 - 05:26:26 PM
Really great concept from beginning to end... nice buildup, just when
things are about to be repetitive, some whole new direction kicks in,
but related to the last in a seamless (ugh, I hate that word)
progression. The music coupled with the nice image made me think of
little desert creatures (mostly scorpions, for some reason) scuttling off
to hide in the shade from the increasing furnace of the day. Hot stuff
you two! Very tight playing/singing/production.

Cool &mdash 11/22/05 - 07:51:41 PM
mix of electronica and rock very tasty guitar work nice use of samples
great production only nit pick is the lead guitars need to be louder at
least the leads with the volume pedal effects .

[ Reply to This ]
Interesting.... &mdash 12/07/05 - 03:51:07 PM
This turned out really cool! My only constructive crticism is I would cut the guitar parts in half and replace them with super Slimmie vocals.

Very pro piece and mix &mdash 12/08/05 - 02:33:16 PM
Lots of depth and air in this tune. Well, mixed and well played. I especially
like how the effects are used to tastefully give body to the sounds,
including the guitar. Definitely like the coolest soundtrack work out there.

wow &mdash 07/16/06 - 02:01:54 PM
otherwordly, I like it a lot. You guys play together well. Think you came
to a good conclusion how things should be mixed. Excellent guitar
work and the bed of sounds he had to play over was awesome.
