Description:
So I tried to write a rock song, thoughts? And as always thanks for stopping by.

Lyrics:
Rock on
And maybe I will find you
When you make it, to the other side

Rock on my darling
And when I look in your eyes
I see the footsteps of the dead
I see the footsteps of the dead
I hear the lies inside your head

Rock on
And maybe I will find you
When you make it, to the other side
I know you’ll blame it on your mama
I know you’ll blame it on your papa
Why don’t you blame it on the sunshine?
Why don’t you blame it on the raindrops?
But don’t you blame it on the boogie!
Don’t you blame it on the boogie!

Rock on,
Rock on my darling
And when you make it, to the other side
Why don’t you blame it on your mama?
Why don’t you blame it on your papa?
Why don’t you’ll blame it on the sunshine?
I know you’ll blame it on the raindrops?
I know you’ll blame it on your boyfriend
But don’t you blame it on the boogie
Don’t you blame it on the boogie!

Don’t you blame it on the mailman
And don’t you blame it on some bullshit,
Why don’t you blame it on the cocaine, cocaine?
Why don’t you blame it on the cocaine, cocaine?
Why don’t you blame it on the cocaine, cocaine?
Why don’t you blame it on the cocaine, cocaine?

Great style for you... &mdash 11/17/05 - 09:28:44 AM
Your voice sounds sweet as ever; and actually this song really suits it.
It's a different style of singing for you and it's great to hear you more
up front. The harmonising sounds really nice too. Nice swinging song.

thanks mando, I was shocked to find I could actually write something that
swings, so fun, I thought I was enjoying songwriting before. Thanks as always
for the support.

damn.. &mdash 11/17/05 - 11:41:12 AM
fine songwriting......solid delivery.......really dug the additional voices on
the last chorus......the production 's hiss levels are the only weakness
( maybe an electric acoustic guitar for christmas wiull solve that)....but
the singing and lyric craft overcome this....kudos.....!!

I think you have a very solid concept here. Great vocals, adequate guitar
playing for getting the idea across nicely. I think this should be taken to
the next level and add percussion, bass, and more guitar. I think acoustic
guitar on rhythm and electric (not heavy) around that would be good.
And there's always room for some other less obvious instruments adding
flavor.

Excellent &mdash 11/17/05 - 11:39:11 PM
Wow, this really shows how well you can sing. I very much dig it. I agree with some of the other suggestions here, but you know, just like it is it's a damn fine song. You've got the groove and soul really radiating from this one. --perceptualvortex

Thanx Perceptual, thanx everyone really for listening, it's the most heartwarming
thing to get advise despite the unprofessionalism of most of my productions,
hiss levels etc, but I'm working toward better productions and your support is
everything, thanks again for listening.

blame it on the boogie &mdash 11/18/05 - 12:09:10 PM
Rock on, this was really fun to listen to, has a 60s vibe for
some reason, it is just me....
I agree with Mr. Greenstone, this tune is cool and you should add
some percussion, cool bass, and maybe some more cool guitar parts.
Nice tune.

Very cool tune &mdash 11/29/05 - 04:47:06 AM
and excellent singing - I love the bounce and attitude in this one. The
hiss? Eventually as you get better equipment and more production
experience that will disappear - that's far easier to do than writing a good
song and singing it well.

Solid heavy rock ballad &mdash 01/05/06 - 05:29:51 AM
It was somewhat difficult for me to listen to this one, because during the
late 70:ies I had friends that dissapeared down the coke road. It brings
out memories.

Again I dig the simlicity of your production. Like if it is 98 percent of
content and just minimal beat around the bush. In a simple and intelligent
way you go straight to a very central existential phenomenon: that of
blame. That is what I conider a solid heavy rock ballad.
