Rough translation of my ramblings…
Of this Mind
---------------------

You say you want some now, hey baby?...
Those things you taught, you won and fought
to get around to.
Cause your proud aren't you yeah...

and...Every one it glows...never mind what she knows
cause she thinks so...baby..
she thinks so...uhuh.

I was of this mind that something else would take my time
away from you baby.
Something one fell down from somewhere - I can't believe it.
But if you tell me something well
then I believe it...baby I believe it.

hmmmm oh hey ya!

I was once yeah where you stand
with your selfish self as you made your plans for me babe
Were all on a stage, they say…but the rain it came down so fast...

Recording limitations aside, this is the tightest song arrangement I've
heard from you guys. Your voice is perfect Ryan, Jared's bass line has
all the right emotion. Barry pushes and pulls this track just right. Nice
job guys. I really like the unorthodox melody. Now record this one up
right!

We are working on it...we are just huge procrastinators...completely engulfed in just goofing around.
Thanks Kris!

the death of alternative. &mdash 12/12/05 - 12:23:49 PM
happened long ago. there is no such thing anymore now that the term has been sanctioned by every major label and music outlet in the world. not to discredit the DIY quality fo this song, which certainly has it. but, i am thinking this sounds a bit more traditional rock oriented. 60s jam band vibe.

the death of alternative. &mdash 01/04/06 - 04:25:45 PM
60 jam band? Cool! …but wait, what did you say, alternative is dead? What are we to do…can we find an alternative for the alternative? Will we find it in the conventions of yester-year? Can we boil it down to a formula and mass produce it for the masses? Can we take an existing product, stick a clock in it and call it our own? Are we just the dust of stars, and there is nothing new under them…tear it down and build it back again…
Alternative music - dead? Dude, it was never alive…that’s the beauty of it …it never succeeded…it is the alternative to success…
Ah, the blissful peace in accepting failure…to realize you can’t…to realize it doesn’t matter…on the cusp of another nihilistic sunset; maybe tomorrow will bring a rebirth and a spiritual awakening to the fact that we are nothing without God…
Until then I will lament our clawing and grabbing for something real…our boxing and labeling as a fools endeavor to control and to feel safe…

We are a post postmodern alternative band…a tiny rabble of middle aged men with receding hairlines pretending to play re-issued vintage instruments in a vane attempt to understand and respond to this fleeting existence…to make sense of the senseless and to take our own medicine from the censures.

Sorry...what were we talking about?

So now I’ll peel my face from this keyboard, go get some mulled wine and spiced cookies and sit down for some cathartic tears watching Amelie and Mad Max.

Thank you for your opinions…we love it!
