Peter say:
The music that Sil-VER gave me to work with inspired thoughts about what it would be like to ride a space elevator and how it would feel to be swung out from earth in such a delicate balance between living and dying.
Vocals and lyrics by pgreenstone
Music, production and arrangment by Sil-VER
Artwork by pgreenstone
Lyrics:
Take your pills
Sign the will and leave it in your shoe
prepare to acclimate
the line is tight through a hole in the sky
Step inside for the ultimate ride
On the Space Elevator
Through the sky
past the steel
above the stone
rising far away from home
evacuate a gasp through the seal
We're climbing incredibly high
Space Elevator
Day to night
and night is the purest holy sun
the tether's tight
we're falling up to the new moon
Say goodbye to gravity
say goodnight to that canopy
We're falling free tonight
On the Space Elevator
Don't forget your pressure suit
cracks in the glass
those cracks in your mask
close your eyes and let the wind pass out
Space Elevator
On the Space Elevator
Day to night
and night is the purest holy sun
the tether's tight
we're falling up to the new moon

It's a good idea &mdash 11/18/05 - 12:18:56 AM
, that space elevator. I hope they make one soon enough for me to use it. This is really amazing. Great singing Peter! And brilliant music. I love that big groove. Really good job guys. [ Reply to This ]

Reminds me of... &mdash 11/18/05 - 01:08:43 AM
the darker dance tracks of the 80s. Right at home with some of Peter
Murphy's stuff with a bit of a new wave kick. Great vocal work by PG
and naturally the great flavor or SV. For the "cracks in the..." vocal part,
I would been keen on some strange vocal treatment there, but not
necessary.
Not sure I'd put it in Industrial, though. You'll probably get better and
more appropriate hits for when people search with Dance/Club or
Electronic... although this song makes me think we definitely need a
new wave or gothic category of some kind.
Great work, guys! [ Reply to This ]

Thank you for your comment packosmokes.
I think you have reason about the "Genre" (I was not sure), and so now I
change it! :)
Thanks

this is indeed very Peter Murphyish, very good work. r... The work you two do together is quite distinctive and stands on its own. I love the logo art too! [ Reply to This ]
awesome &mdash 11/18/05 - 08:45:58 AM
and you know this song made me think so much of Peter Gabriel, I found myself on the Peter Gabriel website where I found this quote: "In the absence of a space elevator, we offer a tower to the moon."!

Well done &mdash 11/18/05 - 12:25:15 PM
Now that's my kind of elevator. Great vocals PG and Sil-VER the music
is nice and full and as big as the space the elevator is going to.
Excellent mix. Well done.-JAC [ Reply to This ]

Spacey &mdash 11/18/05 - 02:08:15 PM
Very cool and spacey. Nice lyrics and very well delivered.
The electronic soundbeds and drum beats are excellent as well and the
mix near flawless.
Great collaboration, great track.

I think... &mdash 11/18/05 - 08:00:46 PM
...maybe we should start with a space escalator and then work up to
elevator. :)
This is a very cool track, not only because the two of you seem to work so
well together, but I've always thought a space elevator was such a cool
concept. Peter, your lyrics are always interesting and creative. And Sil-VER
you music is a force to be recond with.
Always fun when the two of you get together! [ Reply to This ]
Ground control to Elevator Boy Tom... &mdash 11/18/05 - 09:11:08 PM
...when they make the movie of the book "Red Mars", this needs to be
part of the soundtrack... first time shooting up the elevator above
Pavonis Mons...
This is great, evocative music, guys...
Peter, you did a great job on the lyrics and the vocal... You sang the
heck out of it....
If I put that much into a vocal, my neighbors would be hearing it...
Silver, that's a very professional, very musical track....

Super tight &mdash 11/18/05 - 09:15:12 PM
Man. Silver, your production work always knocks me out. Great beats,
accents, and effects, all with crystal clarity. Really nice use of timing
and phrasing to underscore the lyrics.
Peter, killer vocals! Soaring and expressive. Clever lyrics.
A rich tapestry of a song. Very professional. Extremely enjoyable! [ Reply to This ]

Sil-VER, the mixing machine &mdash 11/18/05 - 09:24:11 PM
Sil-VER really did a great job mixing this and rebuilding the music around
the vocals, giving the right emphasis to the words. Great textures and
very slick mastering. [ Reply to This ]
Slick is the word! &mdash 11/19/05 - 01:15:38 PM
Brilliant rhythm section - drums sound amazing, This is a really pro
production - Bowie would be proud to have this in his repertoire. I
think most superlatives have been made above - fantastic collab -
Peter, your voice/lyrics just keep getting better and better.
Slick is the word!
Congratulations!

Serving #9! #9!? &mdash 11/20/05 - 01:30:00 AM
I love an original thought, especially when it is transformed into a musical
tableau. This was yummy like licorice and chocolate. Great combo Silver-
Stone! This song is all 9's baby! [ Reply to This ]
Brilliant &mdash 11/20/05 - 07:29:17 AM
Very Bowiesque vocals, Peter -- fantastic performance. The whole song
is very transporting, which, of course, was the point, wasn't it?
Amazing job from both of you. [ Reply to This ]

As soon as I heard the first beats. This is such a big sounding production.
Individually you are both amazing artists, but together you are truly a
musical tour de force. I really like everything you have done with this-
outstanding production! [ Reply to This ]

Little know fact &mdash 11/21/05 - 01:03:24 PM
Did you know that almost every space elevator is manufactured by Otis Elevator%u2122 ! That's right! The same company that makes the elevator you rode on this morning to get to your office.
Great music. Awesome job Sil-VER! Sci-Fi funk groove. PGreenstone, once again your alien DNA strands shine. Those extra sprongy vocal chords stretch your voice beyond normal human parameters. Great collab [ Reply to This ]

software you used.
Real comment here:
Fun track. The lyrics have a Psychadellic Furs feel...with a touch of Rocky
Horror mixed in, add some Queensryche Aphex Twin hybrid, and we
arrive at this very cool song. The production is tight and flawless. I can't
even give any suggestions because it doesn't need any. [ Reply to This ]

Intriguing &mdash 11/30/05 - 04:51:10 PM
I really like the background music in this. Interesting lyrics
too...singing style isn't exactly up my alley lol but it's not bad at all!
but then again I'm more instrumental (hey I can't sing lol I admit it!) [ Reply to This ]
Oh my. &mdash 12/22/05 - 11:52:47 PM
What a tandem. Just incredible. There are a handful of songs I hear and say to myself, "Self, what you just heard was special and humbling. Don't compare it to anything, just enjoy." This was one of those songs.
Vocals, wow. The elevator took it out of this world.
Music, same.
Mixing?! Pristine. Excellent Professional.
Thanks for creating this. Amazing. [ Reply to This ]
why? &mdash 12/26/05 - 06:15:07 PM
WHY WHY WHY WHY? take the vox out PLEASE JESUS GOD! leave the music
for a soundtrack because it is decent and very clear. The Vocal ruins the
song and scares me. [ Reply to This ]
Ok &mdash 01/15/06 - 05:33:12 PM
I think it was a very interesting song. The vocal is pretty great.
Nice job. [ Reply to This ]
Great but.... &mdash 05/23/06 - 09:42:37 AM
Personally I would change the part where "cracks in the glass -cracks in
your mask" repeats. I did not like those parts. But other than that. Great.
