RGB There, or CKissMY... &mdash 11/19/05 - 03:04:03 PM
Just what I expected from you three, way cool kickin' music. My critique
is that the fade ending was a little too abrupt... I'd have preferred a an
almost final chord, and some fast finger diddling on the strat, and then a
final short ending chord, but if you're gonna fade away, take a note from
the Cheshire cat, and do it gradually, leaving only a smile on our faces at
the end! Awesome drums (duh), fun guitar tunes (duh), great bass and
wonderfully clean mixing (duh)... what did I expect? More, of course!
Can't wait for your next delectible dish of drumming, strumming, and
chumming!
ttfn,
Drakonis

Cool Jam Guys &mdash 11/19/05 - 03:21:48 PM
Like Mikki, liked the shuffle; like drak, could stand to have a more
definate ending. Wouldn't mind the lead guitar mixed a little hotter on the
shuffle.
Jam on, looking forward to more.

Gentlemen- this is terrific. I totally love it when so much talent gets
together and creates such high quality tunage. Liked the whole thing but
was really digging that little change up (tempo). Killer!

I can live without the T-shirt &mdash 11/19/05 - 08:43:03 PM
But I would like the lede guitar a little louder in the mix.

Great job guys and Katch, excellent tune. Lots of licks 'n' tricks worth
stealing.

Does Not Disappoint &mdash 11/21/05 - 06:16:49 AM
Nice IPO gents! Didn't take a crystal ball to see that you guys were going
to entertain us with an excellent tune. Cool, funky, guitars, and I like the
change up with the organ and the break at the end. Solid percussion and
bass too. Keep it coming!

Not that power trios are anything new but I believe you guys are the
first for MacJams to actually form a group. The three of you make a
natural combination. Great job all around.

Smooth tune dudes! &mdash 11/22/05 - 08:59:18 AM
very groovy, and a bit retro, reminds me of the revenge of the pink panther soundtrack. I have to agree on drak on the ending part tho.

Congrats on your first little number Powah Trio

Samplings &mdash 11/23/05 - 06:20:49 AM
Kind of a jumble of styles. You guys are good players, but it sounded like
you cut and pasted parts of songs, like it was a sampling of different
tunes. I like the sound of the guitars a lot.

Samplings &mdash 11/23/05 - 06:50:21 AM
Del thanks for your comments. As for sampling, I would say the song has its
roots in fusion and not sampling. Sampling suggest we have taken other
peoples material and appropriated it for our own. The song is all original and
is a fusion of jazz and rock. And if you are a student of fusion jazz I think you
will realize that one of it reasons for being is that it challenges pre-existing
paradigms of what music it. Thanks again for your comments.-JAC, lead

One Rockin' Tune! &mdash 02/02/06 - 01:59:14 PM
Hey thanks for listening Scorp! The drums are all Drums on Demand loops. So, in a sense, they are real: a studio drummer made the loops. Also they're digital (AIFF files). So I guess they're all three, really :) Almost all of my drum tracks are made from loops, though I am working on making respectable MIDI drum tracks.
