Description:
While on vacation from DDSOT creations I play drums, almost exclusively with my mates in Sydney, Post Punk Rock Band "Further"

www.furtherrocks.com

We recorded early in the year and have released our self titled "Further!" LP in september through ChatterBox records
Australia

http://www.chatterboxrecords.com

This track is remix of an album track, The Actor, It features Matt Coyte singing and the Further band with Me (DDSOT aka Dang!) on the drums.
i got the raw track files, which were recorded at megaphone studios sydney, from tape, ported to protools. sequenced some loops that i cut out of the tracks within Live4.0 and bounced into my remix PT session, muked around with some created samples and loops through reason and mixed.

I wanted to post it up to get some more ears onto it. if it sits well after a few weeks we might think about wacking it on our next single as a b-side.
So please have a listen and let us know what you think. Its a very rock sounding remix, Ive stayed close to the original sound in guitars and drums, I could go more electro vibe on this track if i slowed the bpm's, but i wanted to keep it up and rocking, cause i like playing on the drums that way. And its Rock!

Our album released in Australia by Chatterbox, or grab it of iTUNES Australia and worldwide.

One helluva B side &mdash 11/22/05 - 06:26:19 AM
Worked big time for me. I like 'em "up and rocking."
I'll bet this is one kickass tune done live.

One minor technical issue, I think. Is it possible that a bit of the
beginning and ending got chopped off in the conversion process? If
not, I'm OK with it but the way it just jumped right in made me wonder
and the end fade seemed a bit short.

Any chance of posting the lyrics?

Thanks Snowdragon and TobinMueller, and thanks for the comments. I will try to fix up the start and end chop. I get this when working with Abelton Live and using hard cut loops like i have here. I will try to soften the start by adding a slight tail from the end of the loop to the begining of the loop.

Will post the lyrics up soon. come back and visit then.

Please check out more "Further" tracks if you like it.

I dig how the track gains structure as you get further into it. Very nice
guitar sounds, bass edge, drive, keeping the live feel. Thanks for sharing
a remix of released tunes. (I'd like the lyrics, too, since I missed most of
them in the performance.)

Your singer... &mdash 11/26/05 - 08:02:04 PM
kind of reminds me of Keith Morris of the Circle Jerks. This was
f23king excellent. I say keep it and make it the b-side.
