Description:
Last November the weather was warm and wonderful and it inspired me to record a tune titled "November Nice." This year November has featured a mix of rain and snow, accompanied by cold temperatures and a biting wind, which resulted in recording a companion piece, "November Nasty."

Kinda of a Tim Burton nastiness &mdash 11/25/05 - 11:35:50 PM
I dig it... cold, snow and all that slush. I'm from Minnesota. And that's
where the composer honed his ability to take the bad with the good.
This is an ode to Variation within the Norm. Cool composition, Warren. [ Reply to This ]
Zany Dance of the Zombie Fairies &mdash 11/25/05 - 11:49:30 PM
At least that's what it sounds like to me. Richard was right, it has a sort
of Tim Burton maniacal feel to it. Actually I kind of like that anti Xmas
vibe thing it has going on. Nice melody and quite a few changes in
tempo and instruments. This would be a good one to play after all the
presents have been unwrapped, the place is a mess, the kids are going
nuts and that second big glass of egg nog is just starting to come on. [ Reply to This ]

Thanks to both of you for leaving responsive comments. Here it is, the day after
Thanksgiving, and you are already getting into the holiday spirit!. Maybe that's
the category I should have put this in - Holiday. [ Reply to This ]
Love The Bass &mdash 12/09/05 - 02:48:47 PM
The intro really pulled me in. The rest kept me there.
The bass is just great.
I found myself bobbing my head while listening to the song.
Nicely done. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for coming by and leaving a comment. I have been slow in acknowledging it because I was on a break from macjams. I see a similarity between this piece and some of the things you have done. [ Reply to This ]
Brr! &mdash 12/13/05 - 06:40:11 PM
I love that crazy uklele-like instrument in the right channel! This is a
really ecclectic song. A bit dance. A bit Romanian. A bit hip-hop. Very
freeform!
Your theme is quite romantic; strong and memorable. I enjoy the way
you play it out among the instruments Nice ambient effects in there as
well. Very effective during the transitions! The drums are catchy with
lots of variety. Great mix with ample space between the instruments.
Very suitable for a blustery November day! [ Reply to This ]
Not too nasty &mdash 03/27/06 - 01:56:53 PM
Good effort. I liked the piano repeating the riff hammered out by the stringed instrument and the changes were also very well done.
I think you should be getting better ratings for this piece. [ Reply to This ]
That's too funny &mdash 05/20/06 - 02:42:10 PM
It is as have performed - This made me giggle - But I'm here becasue I
was taken aback by your latest tune - I didn't realize that you were so
quirky - That "Pliny's Natural History" of yours, it left a lasting
impression on me - Okay, I belive you... - You are quirky, but it is the
cause of the phat smile on my face - Thanks Warren - Dion [ Reply to This ]

a work of startling originality. I really felt compelled to listen to it. you
rode the waves on a wire at times but the surf was with you. [ Reply to This ]
