Description:
This song is a bit of a departure for me. Not sure were it came from, but one day I was playing the guitar and it began to take form. Since it was new for me, I thought about how it feels to be in the mountains and to breath fresh air and how the air just seems to renew you and makes you feel better. Thanks for listening.

Back to nature &mdash 11/26/05 - 12:34:34 PM
You have a distinctive tone and style of playing that's always a breath of fresh air. The minimal arrangement is very effective; it's like you're painting a big canvas with fat colorful brush strokes. The sound effects and the picture help transport me to the mountain woods. Nice piece John!

:-) &mdash 11/26/05 - 12:48:29 PM
This is beautiful. It takes me away from my little stuffy computer room
to the paradise of the outdoors. John, you definately have your own
distinctive style (echoing PV). The person this song is for must be very
touched :-)

The great outdoors &mdash 11/26/05 - 05:39:03 PM
In reality, this song is a breath of fresh air... tasteful guitar played solo...
no drums, no bass, no nothing but creative energy. Excellent use of the
dealy. Very sweet song.

I used to work.. &mdash 11/26/05 - 08:19:45 PM
at a head shop and every year the owner would throw a huge party to
celebrate his birthday. Eventually they ended up being weekend events
with camping and such. It provided a really great vibe for everyone.
This track reminds me of waking up in the morning after a long night
of partying with your closes friends, and one of them picks up the
guitar and starts to jam while everyone is still kind of waking up.
Thanks for sharing this and waking up some of my fondest memories.
Greatly appreciated! :)

camping trip and little birds... &mdash 11/27/05 - 12:54:36 AM
awwww... I gotta bring my rifle and shoot some breakfast.
This was a nice little camping trip John, but I was left hungry
because I just could not get myself to shoot them sweet little
birdies. I feel better after all this fresh air.
Open the window once in a while and let that fresh air in.

Cheers

AHH! this is so nice!! &mdash 11/27/05 - 04:26:22 AM
Wonderful feel of this. There were som very cool elements here. Some of the playing reminded med of some of the Banjoplaying from the movie "deliverence"!! Exceptionally played, and very smooth sound!

Pretty Brave &mdash 11/27/05 - 08:43:16 AM
To do just a solo guitar piece, well except for the birds, but even better
when you can pull it off. Nice job.

HAHAHAHAH &mdash 11/27/05 - 07:41:05 PM
this is awesome!...very creative playing...and a neat trick to evoke
images of nature using such processed sound! I love this very much.
You are a fearless player with great imagination.....nice work!!!

juxtaposed &mdash 11/28/05 - 06:56:15 AM
hey man, I like the call response over-driven guitars playing classical
lines against nature sounds...cool...different. Like that last lick

simple, fresh, and LOUD! &mdash 11/28/05 - 03:27:10 PM
Hehehe, I like the simple strong melody, nice playing, the pre-echo is
fun. But there's something about an electric guitar... I see Bambi and
Thumper running for cover from the meadow :-) What I saw instead
was one of those helicopter shots, flying overhead looking down onto a
mountaintop sticking out of the clouds, and you and your Fender &
amp at the top there, playing to the sunrise. Definitely a beautiful
breath of fresh air... I just had a different vision of the kind of air :-)
Cool crisp expansive air... very nice!

Drakonis

I feel like camping... &mdash 11/28/05 - 03:42:41 PM
Very relaxing track - excellent playing.
The forest noises were a nice touch - subtle but noticable.
This, for some reason, makes me wanna go camping out in the woods....
Great work!

Rocking out in your branch office! &mdash 11/29/05 - 07:59:54 AM
Woodstock with a single performer and an audience of one. A personal,
revitalizing session. Brilliant. Compelling. Classic.

This reminds me... &mdash 12/02/05 - 08:58:13 PM
...of jamming on a porch with every MXR pedal I owned hooked up to a
Pignose...

I like the use of the delay, and the nature sounds...

Tone on the guitar is nice, not just the typical, and not sounding like
anyone else I know...

Nice feel. I'm feeling inspired to get the electric out...

This is wonderful. I fell in love with the Swedish language when I took
it in college, and to this day I delight in the sound of it. It is music in
and of itself. This collaboration is a wonderful one. Both of you did a
great job on this lovely traditional song.

oops &mdash 12/03/05 - 03:11:22 PM
er... ignore that other comment. Wrote it in the wrong window. sheesh.

This is a great song, Chak. You paint a complete picture with your guitar -- it
doesn't need anything else, IMO. Very melodic, well-played, really works.
