Feels like the air before a storm, charged with energy just waiting to be
released. (Ironically enough, as I listen to this, a strong storm is just
starting to move in.) Very impressive, and lots of fun. Your guitar work
always impresses me.

Good luck with your real storm there.

Thanks for posting

Great &mdash 11/26/05 - 06:33:00 PM
Great and interesting piece! Combination of thunder and guitar ... why
have I never thought of it? Lots of fun! Nice guitar playing too. Inspiring!

I think this is an interesting direction... &mdash 11/26/05 - 07:47:05 PM
...and as one who loves acoustic guitar playing and thunderstorms,
both, this appeals to me...

Your playing has nice bite here, Bill, and the weird synthy bits in the
background, and the drums, give this atmosphere and drive. You and
Cori remain the masters of getting a good recorded acoustic guitar
sound...

My only humbly submitted nitpick is that, over time, it plays out like a
collection of favorite licks... Mind you, they're all BETTER favorite licks
than anything I can play... and it's reminiscent of some of the kinds of
things that Kottke sometimes does... but I find myself wanting a sense
of melody and structure...

I bet, though, that you could also, if you ever wanted to, add in some
melodic stuff on a fretless bass, and I bet that would sound great...
something like Manring with Hedges...

Good as always, though. Good as always.

Ed

I was thinking of changing keys, modulating etc.

Good point!

Thanks for the input!

Nice &mdash 11/27/05 - 09:28:53 PM
A real cool mix of very skilful, beautiful acoustic guitar with a bit of sound
effects! Great quality on the recording too. Only criticism would be the
thunder sounds a bit repetitive towards the end.

But seriously this is wicked, the guitar playing is amazing. I wish I could
play like this!

Top class

Sounds like a movie soundtrack. Great picking and quality recording.

Inspiring! Now, where's my guitar?
