Lovely laid back and in the pocket feel...
The vocal is remarkable. I did that silly thing of reading the lyrics first
and not thinking I'd go for the song... The vocal INHABITS the lyrics,
brings 'em to life, puts a real person in there... Great phrasing...
Not being a super knowledgeable jazz fan, I can only compare to the
bits I've heard of things... the piano tone reminds me of that Les
McCann "Compared To What" from Montreux...
You folks have done a terrific job with this...

Very tight little group you got here... Daphne's wonderfully fitting
piano/bass playing jazz, Mcboy's/Alley-oop's beautiful guitar work,
and of course, Joanna's fun lyrics and great sultry voice, all come
together to be perfect... there's only one thing missing in this... I
actually expected to hear, as the song faded, a huge round of applause
from the crowd! This actually sounded live to me. Wonderful job you
all did! Faved/DLed!

I thought we were supposed to be amongst amateurs here! This is professional quality. Beautiful everything. Guitar, piano chops galore, vocals beautiful, all wrapped up in a beautiful production package! I'm not a jazz fan, but this is REALLY good.

i've been listening to this song since i got a sneak preview before its
release (lucky me!!!). i missed the posting to MacJams and upon my
return, i came to this page first.
there's not much more to say about the song that hasn't already been
said. in my opinion, this may arguably be the finest song i've come
across in any online music community. it's that good.
thought you've dabbled in several genres, which in their own right are
wonderful, it is clear to me that the smokey jazz lounge genre is right
where you are at home. it's a rare place to be, too... reserved only for
those with enough life experience, hardened passion, and the
intolerance for the lesser side of life.
a pure achievement from everyone's contributions, and a masterpiece
on all levels, in my opinion. congratulations on this to you all, but for
you joanna for giving it your smoove groove.
