The rhythm is the most prominent element here and seems mostly high-lighted by the variety of World instrument loops -- I recognize them from GarageBand because I've used most of the same ones, as GB's collection of World loops is sadly limited. ;) BTW, do you know of any good 3rd party World Loops collections for GB?

Because of the prominence of the percussion, it works nicely as a dance track (as you mentioned above.) The only recommendation I could come up with would be to try dropping out the percussion for a couple measures to place emphasis on an individual melodic instrument such as that one main stringed instrument (I can't remember the name) loop that's repeated.
