Description:
Most experimental for me yet. I did this one!
listener beware!

Lyrics:
You bring the present to me
then you take it away
like I'm dreaming
I hear your voice
and I think everything is ok
even though it's screaming

I've got a picture
in my head
and I am watching
I am.

Chorus

Ever in the twixt and tween
of that which is and
that which seems
an instant caught
from elapsing time
forever held in a frame of mind.

My eyes are in focus
and now I can see
the perfect picture
in front of me.

I've got my camera
I've got my camera
on.

You bring the present to me
then you take it away
like I'm dreaming
I hear your voice
and I think everything is ok
even though it's screaming

So, let's see what develops
print it for me
'cause it's my reflection
I give what I see.

Chorus

I've got my camera
I've got my camera
on.

what can i say?

i'm a longtime fan of James, so naturally i gravitate toward his music.

but add to his wonderful musical prowess a voice as spirited and lifting
as yours, Kelli, and there's certain alchemy happening.

i cannot compare your voice to anyone past. it's unique and fresh and a
fantastic match for this style of music.

Camera is the kind of tune that may never get full on airplay
or recognition, but my goodness, it showcases the force you bring to
the table. terrific stuff from you both! i'm very excited to hear what
comes along next.

congrats on finding one another and what you are producing. great
stuff!!! thank you!

Boris, you're so sweet to say so. You just made my day. I feel lucky to be
singing and writing. I do what I can on the guitar, but I am by no means
skilled. There's a lot I don't understand about music, but the singing and
writing, I get. What's even nicer, is to be able to share it with people and get
feedback. Thanks so much for taking the time to post. kelli

how did this get over looked &mdash 06/19/06 - 09:13:47 AM
In my defense it was posted a month before I was a member... for me
this paints a picture of living life while never quite entering in,
observing your life from the outside, disjointed, fragmented existence,
a defense from pain... I think that your writing is tremendous, I love
when someone find a new way to say the thing that we all recognise...
but you can also sing and frame the work... you are gifted, and I'll keep
an ear open toward you

There are many things I like about your music, Keli, and, though your
wonderful voice is always the first thing to grab me, there is so much
depth to you that I am amazed. Profound, powerful lyrics, a willingness
to take chances (all artists must do this!), to experiment, and creative
production ideas. Amazing.

Dear Clark, I've been trying to email you, but email seems disabled. I noticed
a website on one of your posts, I'll look for your email there. Anyway, I
wanted to say thank you for your comments and, ironically, I was going to
talk with you about your Stepping Out piece. I have a proposal for you.
Please email me if I'm unsuccessful in reaching you. I'm off to look for that
comment now...take care, until later, kelli.
