Description:
Frederic Chopin Op.9. No.1 (Variations by me)

1810-1849

I hope you like the picture I seached and searched trying to find one that fits as best I can imagine to go along with the music. I made the picture more of a setting for the word "nocturne" when upon looking in the dictionary means "night painting". I've known that for a while but I wanted to find more meanings as well, just for curiosity sake.

I tried to make the picture a little more with a painting feel by adding some texture to it. I really tried to structure in some chords with a little more of a night flair, plus a tad of reverb for that more romantic effect.

A beautiful melody and the guitar work are like the painting.

great &mdash 12/07/05 - 05:35:21 AM
This is the guitar of the raw musical instrument, don't you think?? ?
Don't you think? very much we are skillful guitar performance!
Feelings are transmitted. Also the rhythm will have been secure and,
also execution has done properly. Melody is lively! We would like to
try hearing also the other tune of Chopin's and, at the point where
also Beethoven becomes matter of concern.

Do you ever sleep? &mdash 12/07/05 - 04:35:17 PM
Certain tunes just really hit me hard emotionally, kinda wallops me. So I get
exctied to play em. Ii really love that some of you guys enjoy them, in a way
that means more to me than money.

I love scouting around for the right picture too, I never thought that I would
get so much pleasure out of finding a cool picture for the tune. But when i
first came here I only put up my tile pics, now the pics really open up a whole
new world as well. Especially if I find one I am really thrilled with.

I have developed insomnia, but I try not to take pills that make me dopy. And
when I wake up too early, I try to fall back to sleep as best I can. I usually
don't have a tough time going to sleep at first.

Thanks so much for posting drew!Enjoy your playing as well. Thanks so much
for putting that bass on "They Met Out West", I really like that a lot.

Bill. Maybe I wasn't clear. &mdash 12/07/05 - 07:54:50 PM
YOU CAN'T HAVE THE WHOLE HARD DRIVE!

I need room for, like email from bizarre and stuff...

Give me a break.

I mean, I'll download this one, to be nice, but I'm beginning to think
you're not taking me seriously...

You never cease to amaze me. &mdash 12/08/05 - 07:45:32 AM
Hi Bill! Chopin is one of my favorite composers, and Nocturne, Op 9,
my favorite of his. You've done an exquisite job on this and on picking
the right photo.

I don't suppose you do Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata?

Unlike Ejh, I have lots more disk space. Unfortunately, only have a slow
dialup. However, keep them coming please!

Warmest regards,

Rick

Thanks Rick, you inspired me to work on that piece. Not sure If I will comment
myself yet to it, but love the Moonlight Sonata.

Thanks for posting about that that and the compliment as well.

I wonder if he ever thought his music would be played on guitar?

Bill, As you might imagine I don't have a lot of knowledge of or
grounding in classical music. However, I know the guitar and when you
play one of these interpretations and I hear the bass and melody and
scales, it becomes real to me and I get it! Great piece!

WOW &mdash 08/18/06 - 04:37:29 PM
WOW, what you can do with music, all I ever learned was stringing a guitar, beating on a pan,wax pape on a comb.LOL I do much of this with a brush and canvas, but this piece fits the pix perfectoly.I compliment all of the artists that play and write here. Many should be in Carnegie Hall, or Broadway.
Execellent,
Seamus
