Lyrics:
Lyrics for "Dear Airplane Demo"
Mother, it's so cold here.
Father, i'm not strong here.
Grace, i'm just a boy here;
a lost boy in a scary crowd.

Listen while the sun goes down.
Listen while my light goes out.

Dear Airplane, Carry me home.
Dear Airplane, Carry me home.

Daneo, time to wake up! (No!)
and remember where you are. (No!)
as if you've forgotten; (No!)
you wont be at home today. (Dear Airplane! Carry me Home!)

Listen while the sun goes down.
Listen while my light goes out.

Dear Airplane, Carry me home.

Gorgeous &mdash 12/07/05 - 09:59:15 AM
Go on and finish this. I'm serious. Go!
Yet another beautiful, heartfelt song. Very nice vocals and piano playing
to match.
I really liked the deep, reverbed bass drums in the chorus. Gave it alot of
depth, somehow.
Great - now get back to work :)
I'm anxious to hear the whole thing!

I'm with Ein &mdash 12/12/05 - 08:03:43 AM
Finish this song, its good. One of the things I liked about some of the
piano parts was how they almost had a tick-tock sort of feel to them
(alternating the voicing in your right hand and the like)... and that sort
of time reference works really well for me in this song.

The strings in the left of the mix were nice, but they were faint enough
that I think you could do without them as they weren't really adding
much to the song (they were just playing the chords that the piano was
and you had ALOT covered by your vocals).

The reverbed bass drum, as Ein said, does fill it out alot... but when I
heard it, I just found myself asking "Where is that comming from?" and
that sort of made it feel a little out of place to me. I think it'd be really
cool if you could get something like that sound comming from the
piano.... like thumping the side of the piano with your palm or
stomping the ground while the pedal is down... and then just use some
sort of EQ to really bring up the bass in it.

It'd also be nice to hear a little more variation in the piano... like some
arppedgiations, running melodies etc.... but the song is also nice
without them.

Nice tune, nice instrument. Go finish it.

This is so beautiful. I'm so glad I stopped by your page! Can't wait to
hear the finished product. This is my first Dane listen, so I'm off to
listen to your other tunes!

Turn up the vocals &mdash 12/24/05 - 12:58:02 AM
I loved lyrics and wish a could hear them a little better. All the reverb may
not be necissary to get the message across. But whatever makes you feel
good. This is a great start to an emotionally moving song. Your talent is
shining bright

so glad i clicked on the keyword with you in it. im loving your vocals. you need to finish this and write some more music. the bass is a little loud. it takes over the piece a little. im adding this and the bird song to my ipod.

Yes! &mdash 01/09/06 - 12:45:13 PM
Yes, finish the song... and Yes, as in the supergroup of the 70s and 80s.
That's who your vocals in that upper register reminds me of.

Let your imagination fly and take this piece to different locations, with
different movements. This has all sorts of possibilities. And while it can
certainly work with just piano accompaniment, it suggests a much larger
band arrangement.

If you would like further input or help from me on this tune, drop me a
line. You're off to a great start. 8)
