Description:
I am posting this song for a specific purpose. A client of mine, a wonderful sofware company called Perillon software, just sold thier first seven figure contract. These are wonderful people, the software they write helps companies comply to environmental regulations. Their hearts are seriously in the right place. Their product does good in the world. and they have been wonderful to me.

This is the piece of music i wrote to go along with a screen presentation i made for them. John, the ceo, is a blues guitar freak, and this is the mix he liked...with the guitar solo loud!

Congratulations you guys!!!!

Love the pic &mdash 12/07/05 - 06:04:08 PM
and of course the music reminds me of a hit tune I heard in 80, they had
a bunch of hit tunes, their music is ringing in my ears, they there were
words flike "baby come back it wasn't Hal and Oats", they were very
popular but can't remember the name of the group. They had
tremendouts leads. I am looking all over the net trying to find the dang
group. See what you made do now ziti, now I have a headache trying to
remember this incredible group. You have great flavor here in your
playing, with lots of juicy electric guitar feel.

You got style! &mdash 12/07/05 - 06:14:46 PM
Glad I got to hear this before you posted it. Played on my iPod earlier
today- I had to stop working in order to play air guitar. If I lose my job it's
your fault! :)

guitar solo loud! &mdash 12/08/05 - 08:28:43 AM
John must be a cool guy. I could even stand to hear the lead even
louder but of course that's just me.
the soundscape you create with your guitar is nothing short of
amazing. and of course the melodic emotive leads are killer. Love all
the percussion stuff and the way it gets wild at the end.

You're such a fine guitarist. Love the tone, the expression, the style.
This is the best blues guitar Macjams has to offer. Congrats on a very
cool track.

Beyond the blues! &mdash 12/08/05 - 06:23:36 PM
Fran, this one just blew me away! Your playing is sublime - sure, its all blues based, but there's always something more. You make that prs sing, cry, laugh, strut, and scream! On top of your mastery of the guitar, there's some amazingly good mixing going on here as well. I can't wait to get home and give this a proper listen on phones so I can hear the bottom end.
MJ is certainly lucky to have you around.
Thanks,
Neil

hands down! &mdash 12/08/05 - 08:36:01 PM
It's a total no-brainer...whenever you post a piece it's almost an instant
download. Nothin' but the best here. I wish all the best for you, ziti,
you are the cream of the crop!
much love,
Jim

sweet &mdash 12/09/05 - 08:36:44 AM
Man, I gotta get me a PRS custom 22. You get an incredible tone out of that baby. Wonder if it would hold up as nicely with super high gain for the heavy stuff to? Ever try it through a Marshall with the gain set on 11?

Great moves although I came away from this one as I have with some
others of yours wishing the guitar was pumped up higher relative to the
percussion. Your fingers can definitely dance, tho'.

I like this &mdash 12/11/05 - 08:21:30 PM
and even though I'm not a real blues aficionado, I found myself listening
to the whole piece. Great sound on the guitar, and nice incidental
percussion, too.

thanks...this really isn't a blues piece in the purist sense....but a bluesy feel
for sure. Thanks for the listen!

Fat! &mdash 12/12/05 - 08:27:11 AM
Man this is fantastic. A fat driving bass all the way through the song,
excellent production, nice changes in the percussion now and then and
heaps of cool stuff happening with the guitars all the way through.

A nice and simple structure with little changes here and there to keep
it interesting and then a really big change for the coda... though !!!
Gah !!!, the whole piece was slowly building up with energy the whole
way through to final climax with this whole feel change with heaps of
energy and percussion then NOOOO!! A FADE OUT! I was wanting to
listen to that for another minute or two at least with a huge
cataclysmic, apocaliptic, orgasmic ending .... but its a fade out and
now I have to wait for part 2 now don't I. :P

Anyway, very cool... I'm gonna favourite this even though I'm gonna cry
every time it fades out... just because its truely that funky. I hope
you're happy!

yes...i am pleased! &mdash 12/12/05 - 08:52:59 AM
Thanks my friend....I am in shock at the response to this piece....while i spent
a crapload of time on the background music, the main guitar was a once thru
that i kept...with the intention of writing parts for the song structure, ...but
the CEO of the software company liked it as it was...so i went ahead and
finished the other work involved....

several people have sugessted some remixing, so i retreived the original file
with the idea of re mixing it to find that the posted version no loger exists...I
had deleted the solo guitar and begun work on the parts....apparently I didn't
think much of my guitar playing...

but i have all the background intact, so I may just go ahead and rip a new
lead part....maybe write out the parts i was thinking of.....

thanks for the kind words, composer

That bass... &mdash 12/12/05 - 11:09:27 PM
...that bass just hooks you in from the start... what a great
foundation. All the guitar playing, of course, is excellent... love
the flittery drum machine and cymbals, too... and bongos! You
can't go wrong with bongos! Seriously, a sweet track...
