I wouldn't call this pretty...
...I would call it sad. I mean, it seems like a sad song. It is a sad
song...right? It's like when one realizes his feelings are empty.
Wait! Maybe he is not sad, but the SITUATION or PREDICAMENT he
has gotten himself into is sad. I better not try to read too much
into it. I like the subtle play on words, though. The way this tune
sounds reminds me of Velvet Underground... in fact, a lot of your
tunes remind me a little of Velvet Underground. Velvet
Underground are good. JOAN are good, too... but maybe a little
less pretentious and more playful than VU. Playful is good. My
platypus is good. You get the picture.

I'm not lying
when I say this is one of the best one taker I've heard from my favorite band at MJ. It sounds like you was in a relaxed mood. I don't know about those pretzels tough.

You have a classic rock sound - a sort of mix of Ian Dury's blockheads and oasis.

My point is, if you havent seen it between the lines... you make music - many others are to much into the technical stuff.

Great Christmas Tune!
This is awesome JOAN! Not only am I floating on a new island and really
needed a good shot of something unique, creative & intelligent to burst
my own creativity... This is one of your best ones thus far, period. Once
again, a clever concept with clever music performed in a free, musical way
that only a few knows how to do. Everything in this song is very good,

Tough to overlook the obvious
Doors influences.

An excellent tune musically and performance-wise but I gotta tell ya,
using the lyric "ship of fools" was over the line for this Morrison
disciple. Maybe not as far as say, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds would
have been but unless this tune is intended for the stage version of
Noboby Here Gets Out Alive . . . well, hopefully you get the idea.

And I know Morrison ripped it off from somewhere too but I still can't
get past it. I'm willing to concede that I may be the only one.

Still luv the Joans tho.

are we will never do it again. it was jim morrison's channeled spirit that
determined when the song ended so you will have to talk to Him. however

	minimal and i like minimal. i think the best sound often occurs in the empty places. something i try hard to remember when i am writing songs. you have a classic echo, burgess vocal sound. nice indeed.
