Nice powerful singing. &mdash 12/09/05 - 09:42:36 PM
The singing is nice and strong here and the music behind it is powerful
and interesting. Nice and aggressive overall.
Rschletty has already mentioned the things I've picked up on. Though
the singing sounds cool, I can only pick up every 10th word or so. It
does sound cool at times, but better diction would help both to
understand the words without a cheat sheet and would probably add
some more energy too. Try over pronoucing words a little... along with
the whole smiling thing... might help.
Also the mix could be reallly improved, theres alot of stuff happening,
but its only happening in the one place. If you're using Garageband
use things like Treble Reduction (Low Pass) particular on the bass and
Bass Reduction (High Pass) on things like cymbals and high
percussion... if you're using other software, I'd recommend learning
how to use those types of filters as they can clean up a mix extrodinary
well and will add so much punch to the tracks that really need it.
The other thing the mix needs, is something happening left and right.
Aside from the echos from the vocals and the occasional drum fill...
EVERYTHING is happening in the center... it could almost be a mono
track. Some general tips would be to keep the drums bass and vocals
in the center and have some fun panning things like guitars and other
sounds effects in different places... some hard left, hard right... and
other inbetween. It will open up the song alot and will help clean up
the mix a little.
Very cool song though.

strength (in vocal delivery style) and weakness (in the meaning
conveyed by the great lyrics). The emptiness of the cold-passion
relationship is effectively conveyed, along with being helpless to
escape the cycle... makes me squirm uncomfortably in my seat...
another tour-de-force from you, bravo! And Domdino's music is great
under this, really, the two together are a very powerfully cohesive
locomotive. Wow... faved, DLed, awesome stuff you two!
ttfn,
