Description
This is a small piano piece I put together. Just thought I'd throw it on here and see what people thought. I am open to suggestion and critisism so just shoot :D. Also... I'm horrible at chosing genres, so if anybody could give a suggestion for it's genre it would be appreciated.

job well done
I really like this piece. Its a very nice soothing insturmental to relax to.
As far as any advice I could give you for it if I were in your position then I
would add a dash of reverb to it and maybe eq it so it has a little more
attack or maybe go back and do another take where you hammered the
keys a little bit harder more often. Overall though i think its well
composed and is very fluid.

This is real nice
Like the thought that went into creating this.
Like the changes, arpeggios. Like the pouncing of the base in those
special parts. Nice chord change at about 7/8th of the way.

Cool piano solo

Nice going

classical
piano seems to me to fit in classical. it's pretty good. you seem comftorable with the piano. i like how it breaks up a little near the end and changes. maybe have some more breaks, such as fast to slow, and softer to harder ect. it's played very nicely though.

Almost hypnotic
well, I saw your plea for feedback, and I suspect most people here can
relate to that. I'm a relative newcomer myself, and I've been trying to
figure out how you get people to listen to your stuff AND vote/
comment.

In any event, my comments are that this piece is very fine indeed; it
has a pleasant, optimistic feel, and nice energy. I don't know what
genre this is; it's definitely not classical, at least from my point of view,
and it isn't exactly jazz either. "Other" may be the best place for it,
although "Other" is kind of a useless category, since it can include so
many disparate styles.

As far as suggestions go, you get an amazing amount of milleage out
of basically one chord -- it's almost hypnotic -- but for me, it'd be nice
to see it move away from that harmony in a more prolonged way after
a while. You do it briefly early on, and even more briefly towards the
end, but it might be worth a try to use the deflection towards the end
as a transition to a new section in a different key, contrasting feel, and
maybe a more rapid harmonic rhythm. It kind of ends a bit abruptly.

A fine job, though, and you should write more!

Almost hypnotic
Thanks for the comment.... yeah a forum comment may seem cheap for recognition, but I figure you have to get your music out thier somehow.

Ha ha... yes the bass G's got a run for their money. This track was less than 1/2hour job that I said "Hey, that's catchy" and is why I threw it on here. I think some variation would help and will keep it in mind for future attempts
