Description:
I really like carols - believe it or not. I used to sing them when I was in a church choir many years ago!

Silent Night was originally written for guitar by an Austrian guy called Franz Gruber in 1818, I think. My own arragement is all midi stuff - tried to get a guitar sound in there before I found out about Franz Gruber! Also tried to achieve a big organ swell sound in there too.
Lots of penciling and fiddling about with soft synths.

Hardware:
iMac G5, m-audio keystation

Software:
GB, various soft synths

It was written by Father Joseph Mohr (my Great, Great Uncle). The
Choirmaster, Mr. Gruber, provided the music bed and presented the piece
as a part of Midnight services that Christmas Eve (same day the Lyric was
written!).

Quick study, That.

Best,
Cooper

Harpsichord (guitar) is pristine and delicate.

The Choir and Pipe Organ (that occur to me visually) are truly
Monumental.

(As you note, it was the church choir accompanied by Mr. Gruber on
guitar (a Fender Strat, I believe) that comprised the presentation).

Best,
rtc

LOL! A Fender Strat! Thanks for the info - I will do some checking and change
the accompanied notes if necessary.
Nice one!
