Description:
In this version I have remixed the original tracks and added some keyboard harp and violin. This song may see other incarnations... possibly one with electric guitar and maybe another with vocals. In any event, let me know what you think of this version. Thanks.

Guitar, recorder, tambourine with synth harp & violin.

Great layering. &mdash 12/15/05 - 12:49:32 PM
So many instruments, so few things that get in the way. Wonderfully spaced. You must have a very sensitive ear to create that blend. I like it alot. [ Reply to This ]
Great layering. &mdash 12/16/05 - 04:18:02 PM
Thanks. I'm liking the way it turned out too. I wasn't reall sure how
the layering would work when I started it. As I recorded each
track and then a little mixing, it just seemed to fit. I appreciate your
comments to that affect.

Like the irish folk feel.
Like the hittin of the tamborine, (think that's what it is.
I hear some nice picking in there !
This has a nice serene sound, I think as far as i can remember, your
best new age feel here dadai !
Like the dreamy sound here. It seems like your breaking some nice
ground here. Please keep this up!

Yeah... tambourine trying to impersonate a bodhran. This is a new
sound for me at macjams, although I have been doing a lot like this
at home on guitar and recorder. Glad you like it.... thanks.

Excellent mix &mdash 12/15/05 - 02:45:47 PM
of instruments here. The guitar, especially, has a rich sound. This is a
lovely, hypnotic piece. I look forward to future versions... [ Reply to This ]

Thanks for your comments, Tom. There are a couple possibilities
out there that may bear fruit... for a couple other versions. We'll see.
Thanks for the listen.

Nice lift &mdash 12/15/05 - 04:50:52 PM
I have been spirited away to a distant time and place. You have really
done well in doing the Celtic thing here. Bravo. Everything is well
balanced. I almost expected Enya to dip in. Need her number? [ Reply to This ]

I knew it, I knew it!
I knew Schletty had Enya's number.

This is really beautiful, thanks for sharing Jack. The chord progression, the violin, and the melodies on recorder were especially lovely. [ Reply to This ]

...acoustic-electric Zeppelin and Loreena McKennit, with a touch of Pierre
Bensusan and The Chieftains is the territory this tune occupies, or wants
to occupy...
I've been playing along with it since I got home from work...
Nicely blended, Jack...

Quite a crowded space and now your electric guitar? Bring it on.
Thanks, Ed.

Where to stop &mdash 12/17/05 - 11:33:19 AM
Nice work Dahdai - This one went to my center- It sounds very
spiritual in nature, yet somehow dark, but warm. Really nice work. this
is bone of those tunes, where I wouldn't know where to stop adding
instrumentation. Like Joshosh18's most recent post, this one can take a
sparse instrumentation or a full on orchestration. Certainly, it is just
what it needs to be the way it is...

I missed this the first time around because I hadn't yet figured out how to
get email when a favorite artist posted a new song. Thanks to Elfdaughter
adding her vocals to it, I found your original. Splendid composition!
God bless,
Rick
