Description:
Instrumental arrangement of this carol for cello and piano. Features Kathy Biagini, cello and Wayne Hinton, piano (Bosendorfer)
|
Gorgeous, tragic &mdash 12/23/05 - 10:29:22 AM
"God's House Band?" Welcome to MacJams. This is a stunning
arrangement of Coventry Carol. Much more of a true lament than the
jazz lament we posted a few weeks ago. The cello is warm and lovely,
the Bosendorfer exquisite. Since we here at the Project cannot vote
corporately, I will have one of my lackeys do the voting. Atwood!

Really beautiful version &mdash 12/23/05 - 12:16:13 PM
Not a lot more to say than that really. It has a really haunting
quality to it. The cello sound is amazing. Great music for a
Christmas ghost or tragic love story. Love it! Merry Christmas! [ Reply to This ]
Bittersweet &mdash 12/23/05 - 12:23:03 PM
It is a draft of unsteady wind across the desolate night. Spirits of life
are shades across curtains of the isolated houses placed on blue-white
hills. Night sleeps as the moon crawls quietly though the blackness. [ Reply to This ]

Love the arrangement here, and the performance and recording are
superb. Really enjoyable, satisfying writing. This was rich, dark,
beautiful. Faved/Downloaded! Bravo!

Wonderful setting of this carol &mdash 12/25/05 - 10:51:57 PM
A delicate and sensitive performance. The piano and cello are the
perfect instrumental combination for this.
Perfect for the season. Thank you. [ Reply to This ]

God's House Band is a very interesting name! And I very much enjoyed your song. It's haunting, but in a good way! Keep up the good work and Merry Christmas! [ Reply to This ]
