Not too bad
That's a nice tight beat you've got going on. I really like the second "squelchy" riff that comes in about half way through the tune.

As in instrumental piece - and this is my own perosnal preference - I would like to hear more layers and textures. Things coming in and out, more panning, sounds that are barely there etc.

I'm a more is more kind of guy. Maybe add in some deep sonic throbbing under the whole thing plus some more effects and swirls. I think a few vocal samples could kick this song into high gear. Maybe even add a midsection breakdown where the music kind of dissolves before reforming under a build-up beat.

Cool vibe tho.

PADZ
try a piano or some melody to carry the song...a nice pad would make the
difference...all of it.

Cool groove
What this song seems to need is a little something in the middle, some textures or pads, not even necessarily chords, but something to float between the low end of bass and the high end of cymbals and some of the "scratches". Good assembly.

layers
oh glad your second song is done. the beat is strong. it could use more layers. layering is a good thing. maybe have sounds coming in and out like cipher stated. sort of like a rustling sound coming at you from different angles if that makes sense. for your second song this is amazing. maybe even get some one to come in with some guitar on it with some lead that pans and fades in and out or something. i like the riff near the end it works nicely.

This is just the first and a half side...
I like this one too...You're on a roll, man.... (Hey, minnesota guy here too.)

There are areas that are lush with sounds but other parts are a little bare
and need to be filled. I know this is just a demo, but I can imagine how
great this will sound when this is completed. I will be watching the song's
progress, and looking forward to more songs from you.
