A Spanish - ish guitar fest in which I beat the cheap nylon guitar to within an inch of its life.
For some reason it reminded me of Roger Moore's character in The Persuaders who was always saving women in exotic places, like Morocco or Tipton.

M Audio keyboard
Shure mike
Tambourine
Nylon strung guitar of some sort

I would say more of a Spanish feel... Some tasty melodies in there. The guitar interplays are nice. I would like to hear more attention paid to the bass and rythm tracks. A real fretless would be perfect for this... [ Reply to This ]

Thanks.
I'd love a fretless bass and a real percussionist, but you have to work with what you've got - in this case, my usual kit plus a cheap Chinese guitar with a bad "D" string that punctured my fingers and made me wish we had some real shops here.

This is really nice - though it's got way too many major chords and not enough quarter tones to be Moroccan, but that's a small quibble. I'd also like to hear a beefier rhythm section behind the absolutely scrumptious guitar playing to give it more heft. Great job! [ Reply to This ]

Thanking you ...
The working title was Albania, which is even less suitable than Morocco. What about Monte Carlo or Monaco?

Great playing on this, and a good range of moods.
Can't get the Roger Moore image out of my head- I can certainly see him and Tony Curtis in Monaco.
Feels like there are 2 songs bursting to get out of this! [ Reply to This ]

Thank you for the kind words.
It's got something to do with the exotic cars - the Astons and the Ferraris that they used, and nothing to do with Brett Sinclair's dancing, which was Old Fogey even then.
