Description:
i feel like the title for this says everything, but then again that might just be my perpective. Would love to hear thoughts.
Lyrics:
Verse:
Everyday I feel like a danger from the sea
And God is the light is found in the corner of my eyes
And I might find you waiting in the corner of my mind
Chorus:
You walk just like an angel,
Will you walk past me one time?
You walk just like an angel
Can you walk past me one time?
One time oh,
One time oh.
Verse:
Just listen for the song my friend, it'll come to you in pieces
If I listened for your touch,
Would you find me by and by?
If God had his children spread around the earth,
Why didn't he plant them firmly
Chorus:
Oh, oh
Firmly, oh, oh
oh, oh, oh
oh, oh, oh
Bridge:
Mirrors in the sun they tend to reflect the truth, from time to time
And children playing by the bayou
Will drown if you walk away.
Weeping willow will you weep for me?
And I found nothing at the bottom of the sea.
Chorus:
But he walked just like an angel
Will you walk past me one time?
Yes you walk like just an angel
Walk past me one time, one time oh
One time oh
23 years gone and I wanna find my faith
In Jesus Christ, oh, oh
In Jesus Christ oh, oh

You will not get much sympathy from me, Mr. 23. Aging? Oh, well. I do
remember 23. This song has such a nice vibe to it. My only concern,
aside from the hiss, is the tightly constructed harmony. I can't tell at
times if it is so close so as to be dissonant, or if the harmony is 'off'
slightly at times? But it is very interesting nonetheless. Thoughtful
lyrics.

hahaha! Yeah, that's what everyone says about 23, I think it feels so old only
because it's so close to those teen years. But thanks for the listen, in regards to
the harmonies I think I got use to them to the point where their dissonance
became part of the "charm" for me I guess, but I totally see your point.
Thanks for the listen always:)

Good but can be better if... &mdash 12/29/05 - 10:54:17 AM
Very good composition and a solid performance. Nice harmonies. Not
into religious songs myself but the song is full of passion and heart. Too
bad that all that is obscured by poor recording and little effort into
making it a quality production. I look forward to a more polished version
of this as your GB skills grow. Thanks for posting this song :-) [ Reply to This ]

Another strong start &mdash 12/29/05 - 11:42:30 AM
A brilliant little song.
I love your tunes and while I prefer vibe over glossy production, it
would be wonderful to hear your stuff with slightly better production.
Keep it coming. [ Reply to This ]

A beautiful song. Love the mood you create. And the simplicity! Great! [ Reply to This ]
