Thanks. My vocals on this song were actually supposed to be dummy vocals so
the intended artist would know how to sing the song. He didn't cut the mustard
so I kept my vocals. Glad you liked it.

No question about it... this is excellent in all aspects, from vocals to
production. This does not belong at Macjams, but rather should be
sitting at the higher ranks of the RNB Billboard charts. I do love RNB,
but sometimes I still have a hard time differentiating one from the
other. Not to take anything away from your excellent song, but this
may sound similar to one of Earth, Wind and Fire's or Boyz2Men's
wonderful songs. Your vocals remind me very much of a more refined
James Ingram, or probably more Luther Vandross.
A standing ovation from your vitual audience here at Macjams.
Hope you can also find time to listen and comment on other people's

Thank you for the Luther comment. He was one of a kind. I am going to try and
find the time to write some articles on the recording process, mixing and pre-
post production tips and post them here. I'm flattered that you think I can be of
some help to other musicians on this site. New Years resolution; I resolve to be

KGFJ died a slow death. I think it's christian talk radio now. The kind of music
that I do wouldn't get played on L. A. radio stations. My type of music would
probably fare better in the midwest or the south.

What a song! Literally dripping with soul. You have such a gutsy voice and
awesome range. I've always been jealous of folks who can get so much
style and warmth from their voices... I've tried and it's just not gonna
happen for me.
Funny to hear this was a "dummy" vocal- it's better than at least 95% of

good style. good vocals. the take my time part seems sung a bit too fast to me. it seems to me more like it should be slow and soothing like the lyrics. its a really nice song. only thing i noticed was the vocals seeming a bit sped up in places where it would be nice to hear it remain slow and smooth [ Reply to This ]

This was good , it sounded real professional, i recently recorded my first r&b track, and some tips and input would be very welcome. I do agree , you damn near sound like luther , and the music was wonderful , it sounds like you have been making these kinds of track forever. yes it should be on some r&b chart at the top.
