nice Actually... no mic :) This was all using my guitar and line in... but the key to making it was the settings. Feel free to download the archive from my website. It has all the tracks and settings in there. The bass was the hardest thing to get dialed in and I still think the track is a bit muddled. i think you did a nice job on your track. i assume what i'm hearing is a
mic'd guitar, a mic'd or soft bass, and programmed drums(?)... anyway, i
think the sound is layered nicely, but perhaps a little too busy with effects
changes. your playing is obviously pretty strong and i think that all the
effect changes actually distract from how good it is cos i think it sounds
pretty good. it might be a little too long too, but that's just me. i try to
make all my songs only as long as they need to be to communicate the
most important musical ideas in them and try to cut out as much as i
possibly can aside from that. i figure it's better to "leave them wanting
more" (assuming they wanted any to begin with ;)) than to give them too
much.
