Description:
"And I suppose that if all the other things which Jesus did were written down, the whole world could not contain the books."
John 21:25
What Jesus did for me, He can do for you too.
Lyrics:
What Jesus Did For Me
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John
Tell of the Son of God.
Who healed the sick, gave sight to the blind,
And showed God’s love for all mankind.
He gave new birth and filled the void.
Peace that the world can’t give.
He taught me to love, and not be afraid.
He showed me how by His life He paid.
I can’t write enough songs to tell
What Jesus did for me
Just too much to be told, you see
What Jesus did for me
Saved my wife and three children
Each one a priceless gift
He changed my heart, and attitude each day
And gave me songs to sing as I pray.
Time went on, it came to pass,
My wife got sick, and died.
But He wrapped his arms around me to say
She’s safely home, and she’ll be okay.
I can’t write enough songs to tell
What Jesus did for me
Just too much to be told, you see
What Jesus did for me

Hi Curry! Thanks for stopping by and thank you very much for the nice
compliment. God is awesome isn't He, and it blesses me that He touched your
heart through the song He gave me.
Haven't heard from you in awhile. Guess you've been super busy. Hope to hear
some more of your own beautiful work in the near future.

This song was very very nice mister. Really like the loops, it sounds very real ! And this comes from a guy that arent particularly fond of loops! And your voice is very beautiful, it sounds so classic! Really liked it! And the song is so convincing that it almost makes believe in God and jesus again..... Very touching piece this. I really like it when someone puts up so honest and straightforward lyrics as you do here! its very touching... Faved, and high marks in all aspects mister RickW. Cant sait to hear you when you have learned the guitar again!

Thanks so much for the very kind words sir.
Almost believe in God and Jesus again? Oh, God is very real and very much
alive. All one needs to do is look around at the people, the trees, the birds,
the animals, the sun, the moon, the stars--all evidence of the existence and
awesome power of God--to know He exists. I encourage you to listen to my
other two songs, "God of Wonder" and "My Son" to see what I mean.
May God bless you richly,
Rick

Thank you &mdash 12/30/05 - 07:05:01 AM
Thank you for sharing your touching testimony of what the Lord has
done in your life. Even though there is sorrow in this world, the Lord
keeps us from being crushed. I like this melody a lot. It is reflective of
the aliveness and optimism you are feeling. The chord changes are just
right in just the right places. I'll be humming this ons all day! Thank
you for writing it! [ Reply to This ]

Thanks Roxylee. Have fun humming! :-) I thank the Lord for giving it to me.

I like your singing a lot &mdash 12/30/05 - 08:53:04 AM
As said before here, it's nice to here a straight forward message delivered
in a straight forward style. I liked most of the instrumentals, but the
ending seemed a little out of character for the rest of the song - too busy
with instruments once you finished singing. The idea is great, and you
combine timeless truth with your own personal experience to make a
piece that is really solid in its message. [ Reply to This ]

Precious song... &mdash 12/30/05 - 09:36:26 AM
Sweetly written and sung, Rick. The music supports your
vocal perfectly... very intimate and real. Indeed, there is no
way one can tell all that Jesus has done for each of us... but
your obvious thankfulness to Him says it all. Thanks for
sharing this one.

You're an inspiration... &mdash 12/30/05 - 09:49:04 AM
This song is a celebration fo faith. Your love and loyalty to God
certainly has empowered you to make wonderful music to honor and
praise his name. I'm sure you are moving other people to re-examine
their lost faith then they hear you sing and revel in your spirituality.
Theme aside, your music-making skills are astounding when one
considers how new you are to this technology and how long you have
been in hiatus. I guess, music never really abandoned you, as did God
never left your heart. It was always there in your soul all along. This is
the right place and the right time to express those emotions and
practice again those musical skills so as to bring joy and motivation to
your fans and, more so, to some of your troubled listeners.
Peace to you, Rick, and I look forward to more of your inspiring
message and music in this website. [ Reply to This ]

Thanks Leon. No, I guess the music never left me; never thought of that to tell
you the truth. Jesus NEVER abandons us. He is always there. My aim is to share
my joy with others and to let them know that God loves them so very much.

Sorry for your loss, Rick. But if you've found your faith, you've lost not at
all. And music heals. [ Reply to This ]

Very Nice &mdash 01/20/06 - 11:06:05 PM
I enjoyed this very much. As I was wondering if there were many
Christians here, I came across Roxylee and you. God is wonderful.
It too, spent a long time away from music for various reasons. I'm
tentatively making my way back. In the meantime, I'll just enjoy
the Christian content that I come across. Like yours.
I'm sorry that you're temporarily separated from your wife. But
isn't it wonderful to know that you'll get to see her again?
Don't stop seeking to glorify Him. God bless you. [ Reply to This ]

Great to hear from you! Welcome to MacJams!
Yes, I will see my wife again, but more importantly I will see my Lord face to
face. I really look forward to that day!
There are many other Christians on this site. I'll send you a list of those I
know about.
God bless,
Rick

Sounds great, Rick! What thoughtful lyrics, and how well sung.
Guitar is in tune, and is picked like a pro.
The Lord has opened a new chapter in your life, with your music-
making, and we're all blessed by it.
Happy Easter, Rick. The Lord is risen. He is risen indeed. [ Reply to This ]
