Love the vocals
I really really love the vocals. I would love to read the lyrics. I seriously
love the vocals (can you tell I am listening as I write?). This is one of the
best I have heard. I love the lyric about the "crafty hands".
This is amazing. It sounds like a song that belongs in the movies.
Please post the lyrics. I would love to read them.

Simply lovely
This is one delicious track, mang. It has a very sweet and soft flow, great arrangement - Lennon meets John (Elton, that is). Are these loops or you playing? There's some seriously sweet strings here. I love the lyrics and delivery - you've got an angelic voice, would love to hear it up in the mix more. EQ could make everything more solid sonically - that's my only critique. This one's going on my favs list. Super job!

Thanks
Thank you all so much for your kind words :)
To Dreadmon - the drums are looped, everything else is being played in real time.
I use my old G3 as a "sound module" which I run into the line-in on my PC.

sounds very nice!
This is indeed a nice piece. Beautiful playing and singing. Everything is very good in production, Except i wish the vocals were a bit more upfront, but that might just be me. And the strings are beautiful, but sounds a little static sometimes. But keep in my mind, the track is a great great Track anyway!!

Damn fine!
Really well done- great tempo and excellent lyrics. That's to say nothing
of the terrific singing. I especially like the use of the strings along with the
piano. I almost want to say I'd like the lead vocal up front a little more....
but the more I listen the more I like it just the way it is. Faved and
Downloaded.

This song will not be gone in an instant
I think I'll keep this one around. Perfect mood. Heavenly chorus harmonies. One of the best I've heard on here and I hope it does well. It's really a monster of a song. Congrats.

Fabulous Harmonies
Hey Alannah,

Yeah, that's all my vocal work. Live, most of it will be replaced by female singers.

unique sound
Loved the sound, my wife and I were sitting here and both enjoyed the melody. I could definetly hear this on the radio. Keep up the good work, I'd like to read the lyrics!

Excellent
I agree with everything good that's been said so far. The bridge alone
warrants this song a download and I'm truly wowed.

hasty, spacey, shady little plan
That's a great line! This whole song is great, but that line stands out.
Others said that they wanted to read the lyrics. I transcribed them, but
didn't want to post them for fear that I had misheard something.

I did think that the fadeout at the end could have been sloped better. It
seemed too abrupt. But what a nitpick.

Very nice work
Not really my style but you've done a great job here - slick production
and beautiful tune. I listened a couple of times but couldn't quite make
out the lyrics but what I could make out was intriguing and had real depth
... you should post.

Sometimes
It is what you hear..The totality that makes a masterpiece. The harmonic
flow. Listen again and pick out the words, though it is not necessary.
Listen again and be lifted up with the sweet chord changes. It is one
magnificent piece. I am listening again.

Very pro sounding - high marks in songwriting too. Very nicely done.
I'd echo Meg and say I wish you'd posted lyrics. It's never too late!

I Don't Need No Stinkin' Lyrics...
to know that this is terrific piece of work.

Yes, the vocals are a little shy in the mix, but I can hear enough hear to
tell me it's well-conceived and well done.

Nice work on the vocal and harmony parts. I believe this is just a few
finesse points short of a very good, ready-for-radio track.

Under any ratings circumstances, I give it a Niner across the board.

Made Me Re-Think Everything
I've spent too much time chasing "newer and better"....learning Logic,
buyng expensive plug-ins etc. Here is a song done on GB with a some
Jam Pack instruments...and it's wonderful! Thank you for the inspiration.

Thru a satin lens
So soft and nice, a luxurious memory thru satin lens. Really nice layering,
use of piano. The transition into "She's half asleep" is a little stiff
(compared to the rest) and I think that section could use a different drum
loop to set it apart; altho the build out of that section is really nice. The
use of belles is very sweet, and the marcato strings a very nice variation.
Nice repeats, like some of best radio plays in the early 70s. Really nice
track. (Would like reading the lyrics, too.)

Nice post
I agree with Meg, the vocals are wonderful. the lyrics sublime and the
overall effect is to take me another place. You've got a knack for
writing melody/changes. very accessible

Ok,
so here I am giving this a listen, and I'm blown away! If the shit they
played on the radio was half as good as this, it still wouldn't deserve to
be on the radio! I think the vocals are sitting perfectly where they are.
They are what give this track it's "soft and nice" sound. Any louder and
I think they may distract.

Bravo!
