I wrote this song on september 26 2005 the day my father died. recorded it on jan 1 2006

I am curious, if you don't mind my asking -
When you create something so personal like this - and not necessarily an
emotion one would desire to revisit, do you ever play it again or is it more
like - "I've recorded it and it's time to move on"?

it is interesting that you ask that question! I wrote this song in september and I
tried to record it that day a bunch of times. couldn't get through it. then I didn't
play it until about a week ago. then today jan 1 I just decided to record it. the
more I played it the more it grew on me. the immediate emotion is gone and the
song will last forever. the feelings will always be there. I have never played this
song in front of anyone, don't know if I ever will! my sister called me in the
middle of me writing this song and at that point in my head I told my dad to be
on his way because I wasn't coming to see him.

your vocal style is great on this. i think it would kick up the emotion on the hurts like hell on this rainy day if on this rainy day went up in pitch. it's a really great accoustic track. very passionate and amazing lyrics.

The playing and melody has some relations to something the Rolling Stones could have made.
