When The Saints Go Marching In/Fingerpicking

Description
Based on the popular spiritual tune.
I put some chorus effects and tweaked it here and tweaked it there. Heck, I felt I tweaked it every where. I uploaded it before and wasn't happy with the lower end and this version has much more lower end I think.

Plenty of bass, here.
I liked it very much. It's obviously not a simple guitar, as most of your
stuff is, and that's cool. The chorus effect gives it a lot of body and
presence. I'm hooked on the chorus effect, which, in conjunction with a
good equalizer preset and some reverb, makes my voice sound much
fuller than it actually is, right now. It does the same for your guitar.
Maybe too rich for a steady diet, but good for a 'treat' now and then.
As always, your solid, confident playing is the real 'star' of the show.

Plenty of bass, here.
Good point kris, I originally had it with out much reverb but it was just too tiny.

So I experimented and experimented and had to go with cave route:)

Thanks for the post. There was a lot of tweaking on this one. I really wanted to
get as much low end. To get the drone of the bass I dropped in duplicates of the
original recording and played around with the reverb as much as a could.
Really lots of playing around with the Au filer, and max reverb. Lots of panning
experimenting with what location the panning sounds best which is hard to
recognize sometimes. One thing I think helped was in the equalizer to bring out
the bass more.

Ahh Those Saints
I like what you were going for here. A wall of sound with the lead notes
just sort of floating out from behind. Super bass runs throughout and
especially at the end.

New sounds
Beautiful full sound you get here Bill. I have to admit that I've listened
to too many trad jazz versions of the Saints to enjoy it as a piece on its
own anymore, but you give it new life. I'm especially interested in the
sound you're getting - sounds like a 12 string. Its good to see you
trying out new sounds and sharing them so freely with us lesser
mortals.

This one's
going on my "Road Trip" playlist. I'm a sucker for a good driving beat.
Definitely a bit different from your usual fare, but it's good to stray
now and again. Great job!

Great Work
Great work, as usual - an enjoyable take on a classic song. Between
you and McBoy I'm embarrassed to pick up my guitar! Oh well... we all
do what we can do. Keep doing what you're doing! :)

A nice change-up in the sound...
A little chorus can be a dangerous thing, as I have cause to know...
Really easy to overdo it as a steady diet...

Here, however, it does what chorus is supposed to do: it adds
harmonic complexity to the guitar sound... combined with the reverb,
it shows that, while you may have gone "the cave route", it is, at the
least, a very high quality cave... Probably a nicely tiled cave...

This way of doing things emphasizes the midrange into lower treble of
your guitar, and it sounds good. On some of your other pieces, this
would leave you missing the "thump" under your thumb, but here it
doesn't miss anything.

You just don't stand still, guy.

Very Pleasing, Bill
Wonderful playing and arrangement. I also appreciate the effort you put in
to work the low end - it gives the song a fuller sound.

Regrets...
I started off in folk music and did a lot of fingerpicking, but pretty much
abandoned it when I went into Rock 'N' Roll.

When I hear work like this, I wish I hadn't.

Excellent technique and a great interpretative sense, Bill.
