Description
I'm still working on this one, and would love any feedback on edit points. I know it's terribly long, and seems to have 4 different intros - but I'm still learning.

The arrangement came to me when after I had a grand revelation that I'm ok being me. It was that or the mass quantities of Guinness. LOL! It supposed to start with a feeling of sadness and soliutude and burst into a feeling of self driven power. Cheesy? You bet!

Enjoy!

Good and then....
....you're using some well-worn loops here and often, which sort of takes the "oomph" out of the proceedings for some people, I'm imagining. You do put everything together very nicely, and it's produced to the nth degree - very solid sound. That horn line is pretty well-used though.......maybe dip it into some reverb or something.....give it some wetness. And soften your transitions a little by doing some lead ins that cross over the breaks in measures. I like where you're going, love the organic sounds. Peace!

Nice production
This is a great first post! Any Guinness inspired music is good music to
me, LOL.

Now I've never done much with loops but as dreadmon stated, some of
the ones you use here are, um... tried and true. There is a lot you can do
with these, however, by changing the assigned instrument and chopping
up these loops to make them your own. There are several artist's here
that use techniques like these very effectively. Deputy Doofy, for example.

Looking for to hearing more from a fellow Vermonster!

Nice production
Guinness is a wonderous thing. Ahhhh...

This piece was the very first thing I did with GB, hence the antiquated loops.
Thankfully, my jam packs should be arriving any day now from Apple, but I
sincerely appreciate the encouragement. I've got some major cool "remix"
ideas for this piece, and some good thoughts for edits. I've got no problems
calling this a diamond in the rough,

I've played a few of your tunes to some peers here - they were all floored.

Keep warm in Maine.

man
The soft pad in the background foreshadowing the piano and the eclectic
sounding percussion give it a nice a effect. I'm undecided on the bass and
brass. nice shaker! :)

As an old GB user,
I'd agree that the loops are becoming a bit too familiar. There are good
suggestions given, I'd especially agree that changing the loops by
assigning different software instruments or cutting them up would be a
good idea. Transition point suggestion, too. Thanks for posting this.
Hopefully, your call for suggestions hasn't overwhelmed you with
possibilities :) Your production is very good - nice work with dynamics
and bringing different instruments forward. I like the organic sounds, too.

Simple lad from the Burlington, Vermon area. I'm not a musician by any defintion of the word, I just love playing with music. I have a strong love for all electronic music. And I hope you're as excited to get to know my stuff as I post it as I am ... [see more]
