Lyrics
Invecchiò tra l'incendio di Troia
e le cave di pietra di Sicilia
Amò spelonche sulla spiaggia
quadri di mare
Vide le vele ovali
come una rete
ove gli Dei ci predano
come fiere.
Si sforzò di bucarla
Ruvido, pochi furono i suoi amici
Venne l'ora
sbranato fu dai cani
He got old between the Troy fire
and the rock mine of Sicily
He loved shacks by the shore
pictures of sea
He saw the oval seals
like a net
where the Gods plunder us
like beasts
He exerted to pierce it
Harsh, few were his friends
The hour came
ravened he was by dogs
e le cave di pietra di Sicilia
Amò spelonche sulla spiaggia
quadri di mare
Vide le vele ovali
come una rete
ove gli Dei ci predano
come fiere.
Si sforzò di bucarla
Ruvido, pochi furono i suoi amici
Venne l'ora
sbranato fu dai cani
He got old between the Troy fire
and the rock mine of Sicily
He loved shacks by the shore
pictures of sea
He saw the oval seals
like a net
where the Gods plunder us
like beasts
He exerted to pierce it
Harsh, few were his friends
The hour came
ravened he was by dogs

You know, I REALLY like your music. I also happen to be a pianist with
aspirations for composing. After reading your Bio I was shocked to notice
a similarity in the situation I am facing right now. I am a Junior in
highschool starting to look at music conservatories and I'm beginning to
doubt my performance capabilities. At the same time, I'm gaining more
interest in composing and starting to write out what I can't perform. And
then I hear this piece and think, wow, what a great composition. So guess
what... you are now my role model. Thank you for the wonderful
inspiration that inforces my descion in becoming a composer.
