Description:
This is the song used in the film Demonica, Soul Huntress......no, I'm not kidding....Featuring my friend Trinka on vocals. High energy layers of sound....fire up the flex capacitor...............
Lyrics:
Counting down on a crossroad
Hold my breath start bringing death
Angels stop the execution
Failing now this faith I fake
No time for doubt they’ve got the guns
Winners get to keep on shooting
Don’t stop don’t speak it’s time to run
Crawled out from this hole,
Come to lay you low
And now your only hope
It’s just you and me, as thick as thieves
Each other we need
Each other we bleed
Double, double Toil and trouble
Fire burn and cauldron bubble
Like a hell broth boil and bubble
More lunatics, who won’t rest when they’re dead
Hardware:
drums, bass, guitar, voice
Software:
cubase, reason, t-racks

Really Cool! &mdash 01/05/06 - 10:47:34 PM
Thanks for posting this. Dig the atonal vibe, great keyboards, great everything. It's great to hear music that is actually played and not piecemealed togther with weak loops. [ Reply to This ]
damn &mdash 01/05/06 - 10:56:58 PM
when this kicks in, this KICKS IN. What a kick-ass, full sound you have going there man. How did you mix this sucker? That sound really sound super professional on the mix and master end. [ Reply to This ]
Van De Graf energy &mdash 01/06/06 - 08:38:04 AM
Power for the trip back up the greased pole. Wow. This rocks. Electric.
Nice vocals. Excellent guitar soloing and fully synchromeshed drum
work. [ Reply to This ]
Crank it up! &mdash 01/06/06 - 08:41:22 AM
Very dark and very cool.
When the heavy part kicks in in the beginning I almost got goose bumps.
I'm picturing some fast,bloody Blade-esque fight scenes...
Very cool! [ Reply to This ]

I like the quoting from Macbeth in there. This really rocks and sounds great; I love those squelchy synth things, and the vocals are great. [ Reply to This ]
Eastern electric powered... &mdash 01/06/06 - 11:23:30 AM
sound. This is an incredible mix of sounds and vox that keeps
moving along as it moves in and out of that "eastern" feel that
I keep getting in the vocals. Gooood song.

Yowza! &mdash 01/06/06 - 12:25:10 PM
This is absolutely top-notch! It's got a savage energy, love the vocals - the intro is very deceiving - leads you to think one thing and WHAM, it slams into you like a semi. The production is super-good, how do you get such great presence? I'm lovin' the changes, the sort of bridge-y breakdown that has an almost major flavor to it, well no, actually that's the ending coda - wow. This one's going straight to iPod, helluva AWESOME job on this track! [ Reply to This ]

....what really goes on in this.
Magic and mystic layers of sounds... growling synths and magical voices trying to lurk themselfs into my ears and even further into my mind..
Fabulous work.

This song kicks hard &mdash 01/07/06 - 12:58:20 AM
If you hadn't said this song was in a movie, I would have said 'this song
should be in a movie'.
What a great sound. And as tough as the song is, there's some great
use of melody and harmony in there; your friend's voice is excellent
and perfect for this.
Good stuff. I think I'll be listening to this one a bit! [ Reply to This ]

Even though... &mdash 01/08/06 - 05:05:10 PM
this isn't my regular genre choice, I can tell when something is well done
--- as this is.
The contrast between Trinka's sweet vocals and the zooming electronica
is terrific (although I think her vocals could be a little more prominent in
places).
All in all, this is a very good piece and I hope its place in the soundtrack
gives you a boost. Good luck! 8) [ Reply to This ]
dark lands &mdash 01/08/06 - 11:46:42 PM
awsome lyrics, rather dark. i like that. the vocals are pretty cool. the song has a bit of a dark gothy feel to it. but with a punky edge. i like this. [ Reply to This ]

Very well done. I dig the sonic feel of it. Great music and cool vocals.

i like &mdash 01/10/06 - 07:14:44 AM
i like the contrast between the intro and the main section. The vocals
are nicely done and this piece is certainly well produced. I think the
guitar sound could be tightened up in a few places as it sounds a little
too "fuzzy" to me... but overall I think that might be the sound you're
looking for here. Hard to tell as everyone has a little different personal
preference.
I'm curious about how Springclock Wonder performs it's live shows?
Who plays what instruments? Do you have a computer aspect to the
show?
I really like it. D/L and burned to listen to in the car...

Yeah I do go for a washier tone guitar wise on this one. I dig playing textures
like some of the people I dig EX: My Bloody Valentine, Medicine, Curve, Lush,
Fold Zandura. As far as live I sing and play guitar and Ratcliffe plays guitar
and I hire a drummer and bass player. We'll be incorporating a PowerBook into
the live show. But in the studio it's usually just me writng and recording
everything (unless otherwise noted) and occasionally Ratcliffe will contribute a
bit here and there. Any other question?? Feel free to ask........And I'm glad you
dug the tune....Thanks for listening....Peace....Ian

Tumbling &mdash 01/16/06 - 10:51:39 AM
A tumble with the Shakespeare's witches . Trinka rocks, the perfect young pop girl sound to plop into the hot water and stir. [ Reply to This ]
dark and brooding yet inspirational &mdash 09/03/06 - 11:41:17 AM
liked the aesthetic qualities of sonic elements !!
musically it was highly inspired :) it was not one of those destructive dark
piece. this piece is energetic and opens a door through darkness :) ray of
hope! [ Reply to This ]
