Description:
I posted this song in it's original form on the day I joined Macjams. This revised version has a new bass part and percussion and a totally new mix from the original. Nephew Ryan has lent me his new Steinnberger bass and it is sweet.

I have pulled several songs down fr re-mixing and inclusion on my second cd for the Lost Records. Should be available soon!!

Wow &mdash 01/05/06 - 07:09:53 PM
Damn this sounds good! This guitar playing goes so well with the swaying groove. Very trippy leads and percussion. I really dig this.

great rolling feel &mdash 01/05/06 - 07:33:28 PM
Very cool Fran - looking forward to the new CD! This is so very laid
back and relaxed - really interesting basslines as well as the usual
brilliant guitar licks. "Trippy" certainly is the word - great rolling feel.

Sweet Bass.
Jazzy Leads.
Great Groove and movement. A ton of energy in a tight package.
The Cut Backs are very cool and intricate.

It advances three steps.
It returns by two steps.
The life is such feeling.
This song is such feeling.
Happiness to Nephew Ryan with you.

You truly are a master of the six-string.

To quote Wayne & Garth:
"We're not worthy! We're not worthy!"

:D

Great job! :)

fun stuff, as usual &mdash 01/06/06 - 09:37:14 AM
sounds like you just having fun, kicking back... the slow swirling/panning
of the guitars was tastefully done and didn't detract. Fun little picks &
clicks, and your nice style, where your playing sounds enjoyably
effortless, instead of showing off. EQ-wise, it is close to perfect (as
usual), but... on my headphones, it sounds like the high-midrange is very
slightly loud, and the low-end bass feels like it could use a little boost,
seems weak. Might want to do really minor tweaks there.

Drakonis

A sauntering &mdash 01/06/06 - 10:02:55 AM
bit of party bait for groovin' couples on the down-low. It's the crunchy-munchy mix, love the various guitar tones here - the piece really kicks in nicely and finds a solid vibe about a quarter of the way in. If anything, I'd like to hear more space between the lead guitar and the rhythms back there - makes a bit more difficult to soak in all the melodious madness you're putting out. That bass is nice too - I'll echo what drak said about the midrange EQ, and then raise that a little booster to the bass to really get that thumpin' in my chest region - droppin' that basement bomb. Truly nice piece!

I'm rocking in the chair &mdash 01/06/06 - 10:57:09 AM
Good thing it has wheels so I can move around to the rhythm:)

Nice laidback jam ziti.
Jams like this may tend to get to a point and move towards a great yawn... Well, this one didn't. Just enough life in this to make it interesting along the path.

But... I would watch out for making an instrumental "jam" this long without other elements beeing introduced along the road. You know.... Dadai could have a sax part, Einarus on a steady synth theme and so on:) Or we could get to hear that voice you've unwrapped before.

Oh, yeah, the bass...smooooooth:) Also the broken drum patterns.. clever!

I almost stumbled... &mdash 01/06/06 - 02:12:34 PM
...over the trippiness of this. Very cool, Z.

groovy &mdash 01/06/06 - 03:12:32 PM
Dig the off beat rhythm. Nice job on the guitar and bass. Has a style that say's ziti all over it. That PRS sings. My Jackson has issues when using the tremolo. When I pull up it goes out of key...I thought Floyd Rose Locking Tremolos weren't suppose to do that. Thanks for sharing.

Regards,
John

Yer gonna hate me... &mdash 01/07/06 - 02:47:24 PM
...I think I incline towards the original, which was one of the first things
I downloaded from MacJams and love to death, and play in my office
and on the iPod often...

Maybe 'cause that's MY version, the ol' familiar one for me...

I am getting some kind of crackle-hiss in one of the panning tracks
that I don't remember noticing in the original...

The tune is great, of course, and your playing flawless...

too cool &mdash 01/08/06 - 02:12:42 PM
excellent jam....I love this kind of stuff, really thought-provoking. You're
right about the Steinberger's too, great basses and guitars.

Groovin Yeah &mdash 01/09/06 - 05:28:11 PM
Nice Groovin tune for sure. I dig the smoothness of it and almost smokey
feel to it.

Cruisey &mdash 01/11/06 - 03:21:15 AM
Cool, man. Cruises along nicely, though a little overcrowded or busy in
parts. So much going in some parts that the tempo is a bit lost. With
that great guitar, it'd be nice to hear some more space around it. But I
did enjoy.

Groovy man, (did I say groovy). Nice clean tones. This is great background
music. Your repertoire of licks is impressive.
