Lyrics:
UnfaithfulShe walks slowly over
gently takes my hand
leads me to a corner of a darkened room
I slip slowly under
captured by her charm
and I wonder what I've done
to cause so many people harm
well just yesterday
I was happily
a lovesick man
another promise broken
brought be to this desolate land
and now you want me for your own
and you can't make no more
promises that are broken
and left upon the floor
(I told you)
I won't be unfaithful
I won't play that game
never gonna run risk
it's a suicidal game
I won't be unfaithful
I won't play that part
never gonna fool around
and throw it away
this lonely heart
I don't want you (I want you)
I don't want you (I want you)
Upon consideration
I'm a desperate one
caught between two lives
and a man should just lead one
I got so much at stake here
I can't be unsure
never gonna get it back
if I walk away
this time's for good
You can't put me in
a position like this
it's not fair
I never wanted to be prisoner
of a love affair
and I won't consider this love crime
no way, no way
can't believe you put my love up there
to make me walk away
I won't be unfaithful
I won't play that game
never gonna run risk
it's a suicidal game
I won't be unfaithful
I won't play that part
never gonna tear you down
leave you walking away
with a lonely heart
I won't be unfaithful
I won't play that part
never gonna bring you down
with the pain of a broken heart
I won't be unfaithful
no you won't make me
never gonna untie the knot
it's just my destiny yeah
please go away please go away please go away
I don't want you (I want you)
please go away please go away please go away
I don't want you (I want you)

the first to hop on the AClarke/SIL-VER bandwagon. This is as good as
it gets.... great song, great singing, great arrangement, great
production. This is HUGE!!!!
GREAT GREAT work by the both of you. SIL-Ver you are a MASTER!
deepest bows and a whooooo
z
Sil-VER
WOW!!

Wow. Adam your voice is so right for this. Great singing and production, and cool synth lines and grooves. Beautifully done.
Sil-VER
Thanks a lot perceptualvortex!

Peter Greenstone
You guys rock! Great powerful tune. Lots of tasty things in there and a
strong performance, AC. I have to say though that I don't care for the
heavy effects on the vocals; it mkes them sound rather atonal. But I like
the mix and all the rest on a whole. Very cool.
Sil-VER
Peter, thanks a lot for your comment!
I knew your opinion about "vocal effect"...you know :))
Grazie amico mio...
Silver
Jim Bouchard
My first impression was that the vocal sounded sort of pgreenstone-like,
and then I read his comment. I agree with him, I think I would prefer the
pure and simple aclarke voice, but it fits in with the electro element of the
song. Not sure what else to say...since there's nothing else to criticize
here... Interesting how Sil-ver's collaboration net is spreading, very good!
Great voice!
Sil-VER
Thanks Jim for your comment!
Yes the natural/voice of Aclarke is great, but in this song I have preferred a
Aclarke/Cyber/Vox... :)
Grazie
Silver
aclarke
PG and Jim- thanks for the listen and the feedback. Regarding the effects on the
vocals; Initially I thought the effect was too much and asked Silver to reduce
them some- but the more I listened to it the more I felt it fits the design of the
song and the more I liked it and thus changed my mind. Part of this comes from
me not being used to hear my voice like this- it does take some getting used to.
Maybe in the future we can post a version that has less effect to compare.

I kinda liked the effects on Aclarkes vocals (Which were pretty darn good,
I might add), they fitted very well in there among the other electric
sounds, although it would be interesting to hear the song without the
effects.
A great beat throughout the track. You really can build up and maintain a
groove. You've shown that quite often now!
A good collab! May there be many more!
Sil-VER
Ooohhh thanks a lot Einarus!!
Finally a allied about vocal effects!! :)
grazie
Silver
J.A.Stewart
SIL-VER, you've done a great job on the music track and Adam, you've
delivered the vocal with energy and emotion, making this a very powerful
tune.
I agree that there's too much FX on the vocal. What might make it work
better, I think, is if you centered the dry vocal and then split the FX-ed
vocals, with slight delays, on both sides. I think you might achieve the
best of both worlds with that approach.
Otherwise, a great collaboration and performance.
Sil-VER
Thank you very much joe hollywood for your comment and council!!

TEXASFEEL
Wow aclark your vocals really shine on this one. Instrumentals are outstanding...very much on the progressive side. I bet the members of Genesis would be jealous of this one if they heard it. I am! Thanks for sharing...
Regards,
John
TEXASFEEL
I would like to know what effects you used on Adams voice....I like his voice clean but I also like it this way. I would like to try those settings sometime on my voice.
---
TEXASFEEL
Sil-VER
Thanks a lot TEXASFEEL!!
I used some "flanger", reverb and a little of echo.
In this way the voice result more "large" and "wrapping"... I think.

John- we debated whether to post this under Dance or Rock. Ironically, I said
Dance (who'd a thunk). Sounds like you've given the choice validation. Thanks,

When I saw the two of you teamed up. Great collab. I think the two of
you fit perfectly together. Great track Silver and great voice AClarke.
For what it's worth in this setting I think the effects on the vocals fit
well.
aclarke
Thanks, Z! I can't tell you how honored I was when Silver offered this chance to
sing on one of his great songs! I am very happy with how it turned out. Thanks,
man!

"An honest man's pillow is his peace of mind" John Mellencamp
Best one I've heard on macjams. Played it several times for the wife. Kind
of has a Peter Gabrial feel. Great driving beat and just great lyrics. I put it
in my library of i-tunes. What a great offering....when do I get to hear this
on the radio? I've got garage band and I play guitar and my wife sings and
plays piano. We are working our way to something this good. Thanks for a
very cool song. Also love the pic with the hands and ring...all in all, the
best we've heard and seen yet on macjams. U Rock.
Sil-VER
WOW tinkle!
Thank you a lot for your fantastic comment!!

Love this track guys! SIL-VER seems to be attracting a range of top
MJers to his fold. Adam, I like the way the effects work on your voice -
seems to me that the sound you have on your vox in this is just about
perfect for the song - very Gabriel to my ears. SIL-VER has nailed the
backing tracks so well, and produced everything with such power and
aggression.
Excellent post for you both!
Neil

Mystified
SilVER--you just can't go wrong!
AC--fab vocals!
You two make a terrific team! Wow.
Excellent! I wasn't sure about the FX on Adam's vocals at first, but the
second listen through I was convinced they fit this mix.
Magnifico!!
Sil-VER
Magnifica Mystified!!!
Thank you very much!!

Mcboy
do have that pgreenstone sound...but thats a good thing......aclarke is
challenged and he succeeds.....silver and his tight productions just shine
brighter when they have that soulful vocal addition......very pro guys!!!!!
Sil-VER
Thanks a lot Mcboy!

Silver
aclarke
Wow! Comparisions to Genesis, Peter's Gabriel and (and now) Greenstone in the
same song. Man- it doesn't get much cooler than that! Thanks, McBoy!

Leon
Sil-VER has the Midas touch. With a background music like that, he
probably would make Donald Duck sound good, too. Nothing to take
away from AClarke, though. Although a song about heartbreak in this
genre is about as believable as Celine Dion singing vocals to Marilyn
Manson, Aclarke takes on the challenge and surprisingly comes out
effective with great lyrics and just the appropriate amount of angst in his
voice. I wish though that his natural voice was allowed in some areas so
as to allow variations in the texture of the song. I think it was a bit over-
processed. Nonetheless, no doubt the Midas touch continues to spin
gold... or in this case a more precious kind of Sil-VER..hehe!
aclarke
Leon- there's no question about Silver's talent... and yes, he could even make
Mickey sound pro! Thank you very much for listening and commenting!

Macjams is all new to me, I stumbled on it looking for Garageband
info. I
I feel a little wierd commenting on your work, without having my own
on
here. When I have enough points I'll post my stuff, and feel better.
This song is very together, I played it for a friend and we agree it has a
Queensryche feel. The drum track pounds the heck out of my harmon/
kardons. This song just rings out. My only add would be amp this
hard. You could get it to the hard rock genre with one repeating heavy
amped guitar lick placed just right.
Thanks for work it is "HUGE". Very tight.
Clee
aclarke
Hey Clee- Welcome to MacJams! Nice to know I'm not the only one who's
discovered this gem of a community this way! Don't feel funny about
commenting- it's the best way to get to meet people here.
No question that Silver has an amazing sense of rhythm and an uncanny ability
to get such a HUGE sound from his equipment. I have to say what a pleasure it is
to work with such a professional!
Looking forward to hearing your music posted!

Aclarke,
Thanks for the welcome, I'm somewhat addicted to this community. My stuff won't be any where near as well done as most on here. I want the feed back, you have to start somewhere right? I just want a place to put my stuff and have people bounce it back.
Thank you, sil-ver and yourself for the inspirado,
'til the next smash hit,
Clee
Cameron
This is a monumental production in scope -- very large soundscape, deep and full. The many layers fit together with a lot of imagination.
The vocals deliver just the right amount of hurt and angry "edge" for these effective lyrics.
Very occasionally, the accompaniment seem on the verge of overwhelming the vox, but this may just be the style of the piece. Overall the sound of this recording is very professional.
This song has a lot of driving, pulsing energy which is a great release, especially for the subject matter. Blow off some steam!!!
Great job, guys.
aclarke
Thank you, Cameron! It's amazing what Silver is doing with his music- with both
the writing and production. I was amazed at the quality of the rhythm track
when he sent me the original mix. Totally blew me away with how BIG the
mastered mix turned out.
This song was a rarity for me in that I knew exactly the direction I wanted to
take the lyrics and vocal the moment I heard the tune.
Your comments are always appreciated!

Alannah
You two are a "natural" together ... the vocals and the music just melded together so beautifully ... My only teenie tiny little quirk .. was there seemed to be a vibration in my headphones in the bass line. Do I need new headphones????? Wasn't sure if this was caused by some of the FX mentioned earlier or not. But overall - great job guys (I don't usually comment on the "mixing" aspects of songs - cause I don't know what I am talking about).
aclarke
Hi Alannah! Thanks for the listen. Silver mastered this so it has huge low end so
it may very well be your headphones.-Sounds great in my new cans. In fact, I
may have to put a subwoofer in my car so the song will sound the way it should!
:-)

This is a great piece of music. Sil_VER I've become a fan of your music of
late and this is no disappointment. Great production and mix would love
to collab sometime. Adam your words and vocals are excellent and there
are times you hear a song the rings true in ones own life. Nice work from
both of you.-JAC
aclarke
Silver-Chak. Now that's I collab I'd be willing to pay to hear. Silver's incredible
rhythms and your amazing guitar... yes, indeed. That would be very cool!
I'm glad to say the lyrics don't stem from anything that directly involves me but
is inspired by things I've seen around me recently... but I tried to write the lyrics
from what my perspective would be if I were in a similiar situation. Glad you
liked it!

I could hear this in a club... no problem.
AC played me an early mix of this, and I have to say, i thought that his
rock and roll voice was a harsh contrast to the electronic underpinnings of
this song. BUT, now that Silver has produced the vocals to taste, they fit
perfectly. Great unlikely combination of talent for a great tune.
Keep up the great work guys.
aclarke
Hey Darren- thanks for the nod of approval. I couldn't believe the changes in the
song after Sil-ver got finished mixing and mastering it. Glad you liked it!

It's got slight echoes of heavy pumping rhythms of the 80s... something a
Janet Jackson song would've had with a darker edge, definitely a
compliment as JJ had some of the coolest dance beats, in my opinion.
I personally dig the effects on the vox, but think they need to be a little
sharper, they sound a bit muffled. Having said that, AClarke's approach to
singing them is great! It's got the right mix of thrust and soul for the
track....
good on ya both!
aclarke
Hey Packo- Now that you mention it there is an 80's kind of beat in there. It was
very cool working with Silver and was the first time I've had the opportunity to
work on such a danceable groove. He does it sooo well!
I'm also very appreciative that you liked the vocal- total coolness coming from
one of my personal favorite singers on MJ. heh- did I really just say "coolness"?

Nice heavy rock groove. I like the vocal rhythm around the beat. Of course, Sil-VER's production always is masterful. The lyrics and singing are well done. My wife was listening and when I asked her if she liked it (she does not like anything) she says, "I like the vocalist." That's huge!
aclarke
Now that is one of the best compliments I've ever had! Please give a huge
THANK YOU to the Mrs. So glad you dug the vocal rhythm...even though I did
that part I have to give much of the credit to Silver for provided a groove that
was extremely easy to work with... masterful is a great way to define his
capabilities. I'm hoping we can collaborate again in the near future.
Thanks for stopping by, Drew!

this is a huge tune. i know there's not a consensus on the vox effects
but I like em...both you guys do a great job. I too hear the genesis
connection. maybe that's why this tune speaks to me (one of my fav
bands)...but this is better!...updated...improved...way to go

Cool thoughts and words, Karma. Very much appreciated. Silver has an amazing
ear for production. Even knowing that I was a bit skeptical initially about the
effects and even went to far as to ask him to mix a copy with out so much. After
hearing them side by side it was very clear that the way you're hearing it was a
much better fit for the song.

Music sounds great but I couldn't stand the vocals. Sounds like an 80's singer trying to sound current. Everything else was very well done though!
