I am new to MacJams and love the community here.
If you hear any clicks or pops in the audio, please download a copy of the song up above, as it is not in the original recording. I have noticed the same interference in other artists songs and assume it is a playback issue.
Thanks in advance for any feed back :D

Lyrics:
I've been sitting here thinking, thinking aloud
Thinking to myself, how do we get out
And all of us sleeping alone in the crowd
Thinking to myself, how do we get out
And I sit here dreamin in this beautiful evening, I sit here dreamin
Sitting alone trying to find my way
As I sift through the ashes of another day
Infinity calling from so far away
Can't you live like children and watch them play
Until the day, we get back
Until the day, we get back
Until the day, we get back
Until everything, everything is beautiful
(Instrumental Break)
I've been dreamin so long that I've lost my way
Trying to find all the answers and a better day
The truth's all around us and I'm trying to wake
But I still can't remember how we got this way
Until the day, we get back
Until the day, we get back
Until the day, we get back
Until everything, everything is beautiful
And I sit here dreamin in this beautiful evening, I sit here dreamin
And I sit here dreamin in this beautiful evening, I sit here dreamin
Because dreamin is possible, Yeah dreamin still possible
Because dreamin is possible, Yeah dreamin still possible

production &mdash 01/09/06 - 09:10:02 PM
this could use some production work. the song itself is really good. the vocal style is good. there's some issues in volume. the guitar part is beautiful. the lyrics are great. it seems only the recording is a little shakey. your voice reminds me of someone but i can't remember who. at parts its almost a little grungey. Thanks for the feed back it is always welcome :D
Could you give me a little more feedback on what production changes it could
use. Like what would improve it? [ Reply to This ]

i heard it too - it seemed like there were panning issues or volume issues - it
seemed like the vocals were coming back and forth... hard to explain.
regardless - quite an impressive tune. it seems like you've got quite the grasp
on the pop formula.

duet or solo &mdash 01/11/06 - 01:15:18 AM
I thought this sounded great, I was surprise to see that you used gb....I
was expecting a more commercial software program....my one comment
although little and not a major issue would be on the lead vocal and your
double vocal..I noticed towards the end of your song your second vocal
started "competing" with your lead...I've had to address this with
myself.....I prefer as a listener to follow one voice through the entire song.
I think if you could somehow feature one voice prominently and showcase
the second voice differently you could improve on your work even
more.........hope that helps.....feel free to tell me to go to hell.......thanks
for the tune..........t [ Reply to This ]

Lovely melody &mdash 01/12/06 - 10:37:51 AM
I really like the guitar melody, really pretty.
Your vocals are pretty good on this and the overall feel to the track is
pretty nice.
There seem to be some glitches in the recording, though - nothing
major, only a few weird clicks and 'hiccups' of some sort.
Very nice songwriting as well, although I think you should rather have a
proper ending rather than fading it out. If not but just slow it down and
end with a soft guitar chord (perhaps with a hint of a piano in the latter
half of the piece?).
But that might just be me.
All in all a very sweet track.

Hi Einarus, thanks for the feedback, I really like your work. As far as the
glitches you mentioned, they are not in the recording. I have also noticed this
issue when listening to some of the other artists here on the site. If you
download this song and listen to it, you will find that they are not there
unless it is some how encoded when uploading to this site. Let me know if it
is still there when you download it and if it is, I will send you it in the original
format so you can hear it cleanly...
Thanks again for the feedback.
Best,

Very nice song &mdash 01/16/06 - 05:04:10 AM
Very pleasant feel and the production, to me, sounds very clean. No
pops or clicks on my end. Probably a slow connection interfering with
the listeners stream.
I really like the tasteful use of strings throughout the song- adds a very
nice touch. Now as far as things you might try to improve the song...
hmmmn. I think t-bone had a good point regarding the vocals. I would
try centering the lead vocal and keeping the doubled voice panned a
little to the left or right and drop it in the mix a tad. It's an important
part of the song but you don't want it to overwhelm the lead.
However, there is nothing here- production or talent-wise that
prevents me from enjoying this song very much. An excellent first
post! Welcome to MacJams, Grant. Looking forward to hearing your
other music. [ Reply to This ]
Lovely song! &mdash 01/16/06 - 03:16:22 PM
The guitar intro is lovely ... the reverb on it is just right. It's a very
sweet song with a great melody.
You have a really good voice and sing with a lot of confidence. Nice use
of double-tracking on the vocal too ... I think it works very well having
the two voices there and to my ears they don't interfere with each other
at all.
A very promising first upload ... I look forward to hearing more from
you. [ Reply to This ]
