beauty & sadness
I feel the music and singing evoking memories of beauty and sadness and
loss... desire and regret. One suggestion on this song, was that the
strumming was fairly even through the whole song, and I would have
liked it to be more sparse, then build when you sing the higher stronger
notes, to give more emotional punch. But even without changing it, this
is a well-written and played/sung piece, faved! You do need to get a
better recording setup too, so your instrument sounds clearer... it is a
little bit muffled. These songs deserve to be very clear and nicely
recorded!

Hello Drakonis!
Thanks for your honest constructive and motivating song review.
This song was recorded as a total vocal and instrumental improvisation in Febr. 1993. My recording exprience and equipment was not sufficient at this time. Due to the fact that I can't repeat any improvisation, this song cannot be improved.
You should know, that all my songs are improvisations I've recorded at once. I'm not able to cover my own songs. When I try to repeat one of my songs, it became a new one with a lot of changes and variations. In order to keep my improvisational creativity I'll record only NEW songs by improvisation.

Yes, I do know about your TVI and your "one-time" performances. However, you
did not mention in your description that this was a very old recording... so I
thought this was a new one, and I was hoping in the next recording you would
use better quality recordings, because I like hearing your music clearly. Maybe
you can mention in the description of each song if it is an old or a new
recording.

Drakonis

vocal improv
I can appreciate tvi, I try it myself and find it liberating from the lyric writing process. Your interpretation was very telling and truthful. I would agree with drakonis on the build up of guitar.......he writes "to give more emotional punch" the guitar would match your vocal emotional buildup...........added to my favs................t

vocal improv
Hello t-bone!
Thanks for your constructive comments.
You hit the point: total vocal and instrumental improvisation is really "liberating"... My spontanously created freestyle fantasy language goes along simultaneously with my instrumental improvisation at once. I'll never repeat a song in order to keep this freestyle improvisational ability. On the other hand I'm not able to improvise on command. I've to wait for a "kiss of the MUSE"... if you know what I mean...?
All the best.

I think I would have liked to see the lyrics on this one ... so I could sing along .....

That would be great, if you use a freestyle fantasy language like me. All my songs are totally improvised at once (vocal and instrumental).
See my collaboration with Lisa Tunnah/UK. She sung a fantasy language too:

good vocals
the vocals are good. all the sugjestions made i agree with. better recording set up build the guitar with the song. nothing liking slowly dragging some one in and then hitting them with all the emotion and slowly releasing them. like a story builds to a climax and draws to an end.

Very Emotional
Thank you for your encouraging comment.
After reading all the comments here I thought about deleting this song, because of some recording faults I did in 1993 with this guitar/vocal improvisation. I'll wait what happens next...
