love (965)yesterday (5)miss (14)I (104)you (129)I miss you (2)
Description:
This was before I had access to a computer but I wanted to post it anyway.

Lyrics:
Your leaving
Your going away
Wont see you
You know but I'll say

I'll miss you
I'll miss you
I'll miss you
I'll miss you
I'll miss you
Starting yesterday

No skater upon my back
No rocking me to sleep at night
No puppets will play on the wall
I'll miss your midnight call

I'll miss you
I'll miss you
I'll miss you
I'll miss you
I'll miss you
Starting yesterday

There's something
That I need to say
I know that
You don't feel the same

But I love you
I love you
I love you
I love you
Dont care if you love me
I love you
I love you
Starting yesterday

I needed to say
Al I needed to say
But anyways

I'll miss you
I'll miss you
I'll miss you
I'll miss you
I'll miss you
Starting yesterday

Good job! &mdash 01/11/06 - 08:57:09 AM
I like your voice and your backups are nice too...this is a well written song and I dig the guitar accompaniment. Wish you had posted your lyrics too.

I like the melody and your lyrics, nice guitar writing/playing too. Pretty
harmonizing parts... can't wait to see what you do next! I would like to
see the lyrics typed in so I could read along. This had a nice bittersweet
feel to it. Welcome to Macjams!

Very Nice Sound &mdash 01/11/06 - 01:02:55 PM
I am attracted to the acoustic guitar sound, for me hearing more to me is always better. By listening to your song I understand its low, in the back, volume. The vocal with the echo back up is soothing, even though iIfeel the pain of the messege in the song. I'm a sucker for an acoustic track. Very pretty piece. I'll look for a follow-up.
Thank you for the op to listen to your work,
Clee

Fresh, unique vocal &mdash 01/11/06 - 05:32:22 PM
Something about this song makes me feel old. Maybe it's the subject
matter, or maybe it is the extremely youthful vocal? Your voice is very
engaging, especially paired with the simple, clean production on this
piece. Like others, I look forward to more from you, PMR.

By the way, what is the photo about?

Great &mdash 01/14/06 - 04:39:01 PM
A comparison to Fairybeth around these parts is a compliment indeed.
She's very talented and worth checking out. I'll try to give this song a
listen myself very soon because it's getting a lot of good press. Welcome
to MacJams and may you have a very pleasant stay. :-)

You've got such a nice voice, very emotive - the song is very simple, yet it packs a powerful punch. What a nice first track for MacJams, looking forward to hearing much more from you! Welcome!

Surprised &mdash 01/14/06 - 10:48:42 PM
When I saw your photos, I was expecting something less polished.
Very clean. I like the EQ on the vocals.

Lovely first upload &mdash 01/15/06 - 04:11:06 AM
Hints of Beth orton here. A really good voice, a well written song and
an effective guitar part.

I can't wait to hear some more.

I really like the use of the two vocal tracks. I could hear this with some
keys or even a slow beat to add to the atmosphere of the song. thee
great lyrical hook of "starting yesterday" after all the I miss you's really
emotes a feeling sweet longing. keep up the great writing.

Great Vocals &mdash 02/08/06 - 05:21:05 PM
I really like your vocals and harmonies. I'm a huge fan of a guitar and a
voice and you have captured that amazingly well with this simple
arrangement. I have listened to both songs you've posted here, and I will
anxiously await more from you. Keep it up!

I Look Forward &mdash 03/19/06 - 04:43:39 PM
to hearing more.
Very well done.
Your voice has a very clear, open quality.
I enjoy your song as well.
Production-wise, I heard some distortion on tthe vocals at points due to
the volume of your voice, but it wasn't that distracting.

a delicate fragile beauty of a voice &mdash 03/21/06 - 07:33:39 AM
I look forward to hearing you really sinky your voice into something really heart wrenching. The way your voice trills can be an awesome tool to influence the play of the lyrics.

Capturing the exhaustion, loneliness, fixations of loss &mdash 03/22/06 - 05:53:05 AM
Loss brings with it a simplicity brought on by exhaustion, loneliness, a
certain fixation on what is no more. Your song makes all these things
come to life. I especially liked the spaces you left between phrases. If
that was all performed in a single pass (which it sounds and feels like),
you've done a wonderful job, especially in the verse, of finding chord
voicings and utilizing fingerpicking techniques, but (in my ears) I thought
the voicings of your chords could have been less standard and they would
have integrated with the very nice verse guitar choices. Wonderful sing-
songwriter open-mic style track.
