Description:
Little rock, little pop!
Lyrics:
I'm Yours
I should love you
but I don't know how
I should hate you
but I can't no not right now.
Not right now.
Do you love me?
Please say you do.
Do you love me?
Like I love you, un-huh?
Like I love you.
I should have known by now
no getting over you no how
I should have known by now
I'm yours.
Hold me closely
keep me warm
I am happiest in your arms.
Tell me truly
and don't you lie
how could you want to say
goodbye to me?
Say goodbye to me?
Chorus
It's just when the wind blows
I hear your heart beat
It's just when the wind blows
I can hear you whispering...
Do you love me
please say you do
do you love me
like I love you?
like I love you.
Chorus

A fine rocker &mdash 01/13/06 - 06:17:12 PM
Kelli Ann you have a wonderful voice and Jim's guitar playing is excellent
as ever.
Two main observations: the ending needs to be more definite, there's a
build in the guitar line which just fizzles out and there's a bit of a Cajun
feel to this so I think this track needs some accordion and it would be
perfect!

Another stellar collaboration &mdash 01/14/06 - 07:16:03 AM
A simple song performed and arranged really well and recorded with
the now typical 'cd ready' production.
While not the knockout song that was Andrea Yeats, as radio-friendly
toe-tapping pop-rock this surely can't be beat. [ Reply to This ]

Country Rock? &mdash 01/14/06 - 09:33:49 AM
Has a rockin' backwoods Wisconsin bar feel to it (where I am going to
party in two weeks). This will get the patrons' feet shuffling and draw
them closer to objects of affection. Really picks up nicely 2/3 of the
way through. I agree that the ending is abrupt...left me hanging out
there. [ Reply to This ]
Hey now &mdash 01/18/06 - 10:37:13 AM
this is really good, a genre-bender, part country and part 60's rock, which is a really complimentary mix. Singing is great, the arrangement and production are super-good. The ending drums are a little skeevy, but that's my only nit. Great job! [ Reply to This ]
Great duo! &mdash 01/18/06 - 11:23:19 PM
You've got a little Bonnie Rait in you on this one! Gotta agree with
rschletty that Wisconsin bar-folk would love this one! (Being from there
I've been to many a dirty bar...) They would be dancin' and whistling at
you! [ Reply to This ]
We need more &mdash 01/19/06 - 06:37:11 AM
lady rockers here!
This is great- love the roadhouse feel of this song. A little sweet on the
vocal... which is terrific. However, there is a part of me that wants to hear
a little more grit in the voice. That does not detract from my total
enjoyment of the song- just my little wish.
The ending does seem to fall apart but that just what happens when the
band drinks during gigs sometimes... in other words it kind of gives it a
played live feel to me. Besides... you always blame it on the drummer! [ Reply to This ]

Keep Up The Good Work
"God Bless You"

Great Collab! &mdash 02/15/06 - 07:44:44 PM
Added to favorites - You have a new fan :)
I would have liked to have heard your voice pumped up some more in the
mix. It's quite beautiful and I wanted more of it. Jim has thrown some
swell guitar licks into the mix but I thought the lead in the break was just
a tad high. But those are minor production nits. The tune is quite good
pop/rock and the words roll smoothly without sounding forced at all.
And it's got a good hook. Writing a hook that works is, in my view, the
genius of music. It seems like it should be so simply but not many people
can do it. But you two did it. [ Reply to This ]
mental &mdash 02/16/06 - 10:44:39 AM
I really like this but the ending is a little weak. The guitar sputters and
fades just when it should go completely mental and THEN fade. Thanks
for putting this up. You two are a great team. I see a bright future with
many bright bright lights. [ Reply to This ]
Radio-ready &mdash 02/22/06 - 01:30:57 AM
I agree I'd like to hear more of the voice, but it's almost hard to admit it when the instrumental performances are so good too. I could rock out on this while driving around on the freeway. I actually like the way the ending kind of disintegrates. I guess a more traditional ending would be a repeat and fade out but this way goes well with the honky-tonk feel. [ Reply to This ]
oooh &mdash 03/12/06 - 08:49:36 AM
gah, seems like i miss so many great songs and artists here..
I am so pleased i found this one.
I love Jims work already.. and this is a great track,
I love your voice Kelli... Perfect....
yes a maybe a bit louder vox in the mix, but you know, I think its a great
song as it is :)
Fabulous

Good Song &mdash 04/01/06 - 11:17:03 PM
Good song. I think I would have dropped the bongos. They seemed to
get in the way of the drums especially in the bridge. The melody is
memorable as is your singing.
Your vocal presentation is very good. Could even be a little "tougher"
or pissed off sounding and brought up in the mix a bit more. Good
guitar work, Mr. B.

Good Fun! &mdash 06/19/06 - 10:18:20 AM
I like it! This song is a little Edie Brickell-esque. I hope you take that as a
compliment. [ Reply to This ]

Sweet! &mdash 11/02/06 - 05:00:41 PM
Great voice, excellent overall song, and well mixed. I agree with others about the ending, and I think I would blame it on the drummer... what throws me off is that half-beat pause before the final fill. But that's a small thing against this giant goodness of a song. [ Reply to This ]
tsada &mdash 06/05/08 - 07:38:45 AM
