Description
This is the first collaboration I ever did once I got my e-drum studio set up. I should point out right off the bat that my sole contribution to this one is the drums. I realize it's therefore kind of a misnomer to post the song as mine, but I hope everyone will let me slide since the real author is not yet a MacJammer.
The song belongs to a good friend of mine (and former bandmate), Stephen Bloodsworth. The song is under copyright (2005). In my humble opinion, the guy is just an amazing singer and songwriter. He sent me a CD with a bunch of his songs on it with everything recorded but drums. I feel everything was recorded and balanced perfectly. All that was left for me was to throw a simple rhythm on top and avoid getting in the way of the song.
I like the way this one came out - it's not a complex drum part, but those are some of my favorites. As part of the collaboration, I sent him the raw drum tracks as if I'd mic'ed up a real drumset - giving him the ultimate in control. What you are hearing is my lame, drum-heavy mix ... but I think it still gets the tune across.
I hope that Steve will take a look at this page and maybe soon we can convince him to become a MacJammer too!

Lyrics
When I go to bed
I think of you
When I go to sleep
I dream of you
And in the morning light
When I lay my eyes on you
Babe it's all that I can do
To keep my head
I think of you
When I go to sleep
I dream of you
And in the morning light
When I lay my eyes on you
Babe it's all that I can do
To keep my head

This is a nice tune, he's got a nice voice, and the song really flows well. That's an e-drum set-up? Sounds great! The snare in the choral part seems sort of "heavy" for such a song - but the playing is very good. Overall - very cool!
