Description:
i wrote a collection of songs on the laptop when i was working graveyards at a 24 hour garage. i would write the beats then come home and record the guitar and vocals over the top before going to sleep. this song was the last song written with 6 songs completed. (one for each night). hence the anger in the lyric asim very tired by this stage....trend setter and im a player were also written at this time (night 1 & 2 respectively).

Lyrics:
headin' straight to the grave aren't ya?
just want to be a slave, don't ya?
stil waiting for a false answer
but doing fuck all just builds up your patience.

(ya fuck)

the way that you carry yourself,
the way you treat everyone else
the words you choose
the excuses when you lose
backed up by a moralistic pride
externally yours but not whats on the inside
the upper hand, your station
revolution, salvation
im diggin a hole and using you as a shovel
a guild of thieves at the most personal level
history was written by the winner of a conflict
hidden is the truth of the blood that runs thick
staining lies

headin' straight to the grave aren't ya?
just want to be a slave, don't ya?
stil waiting for a false answer
but doing fuck all just builds up your patience.
i guess im no better than you
who knows what the fuck to do
as long as theres a t.v in the room
forget about everything and fall asleep soon

im falling through the soap box
that ive stood on for so long
who knows what to say?
its all rot and society has decayed
sell me to your leader
im gonna feed ya
sixty pounds of the finest cheeba
see things clearer, than any fucken speech
from any prime sinister
buy the lies, fall for the disguise
it's not your fault i can see
through the scabs on your eyes
innocence has died
consistent with the highs
who could know that we'd go so low

the rhythm of the system
it aint the beat
im walking on the other side for fear of the street
anarchy simple, thought pattern elite
evacuation, mind interrogation.............

YEAH! &mdash 01/18/06 - 07:43:37 PM
This has got some serious 'nads, and I'm lovin' it. The energy, the anarchic pulse of it, it's highly creative and imaginative, goes all over the map stylistically, while maintaining its edge. Love that bass-led breakdown with the synths. Great vox, the guitar is totally sick - the sounds you're choosing are insanely good. I've gotta give it up to you here - this is one sick piece of work. Now, here's my beef - without the lyrics posted here, I wouldn't have been able to catch a lot of what you're saying here, and that's very important, because your lyrics are really killer, man. I don't know if it's perhaps the production, things are kinda kept closely together, or maybe it's the effect on your voice - but it was hard to make out what you were saying without following along. Other than that - this is a seriously great piece of work - more power to you, I'm looking forward to hearing more late-night indulgences from ya. Cheers!

YEAH! &mdash 01/19/06 - 02:50:06 PM
thanks for the kudos......i really appreciate it being a reclusive home musician with a lack of confidence..........i will agree that im still getting the hang on mixing and production and that my mixes suck.........this song has distortion on the vocals cause i could. i record everything with a sure sm58 in to a boss digital 4-track (as a kinda pre-amp i guess?) which is lined into mac......then i guess i compress the fuck out of the final mix.......i have since learnt a lot and will never do that again...........all my punk songs are concieved in a day and usually recorded whilst being written, that way the energy and angst is more sincere.
i also want to say that since joining macjams i have learnt soooooo much and really appreciate the feedback.......this commuinty rocks..
p.s
the bass driven 'synth' breakdown.............those are guitars and vocal lines tuned up an octave or so.......you can sorta hear the words (if i can rememeber them) "1 + 1 will equal 3, if it is feasible then it will be"....once again, cheers..

What a bad meal &mdash 01/19/06 - 02:57:59 PM
That meal looks real bad, but the song is damn awesame!!! So full of energy, allthough i felt it was a bit low. I can feel your agression man! GRea!

Hardcore! &mdash 01/19/06 - 08:51:16 PM
Man, you really did channel the anger into this one. Sounds at times like a
lot of the underground stuff I was listening to 20-plus years ago when
Black Flag and Suicidal Tendencies were just the more socially acceptable
tip of the iceberg. Love the thick, crunchy guitar and the trips through
tempo land. Lots of energy. I agree with dreadmon that the vocals could
be a little clearer, though the way they are does help feelings behind the
words (and the words are pretty good.) Good stuff. Lots of edge.

hell yes &mdash 01/23/06 - 05:24:12 PM
The first song of yours that I heard was "we suck", which was damn-
near perfect in its brevity. When I clicked in this song and saw how
long the lyrics went on I grew worried at how well you could pull off a
longer one, so to speak. I was afraid I would want it to stop half way
through.

Not this one, though. Those are really well written lyrics. Great use
of rhythm within the lyrics themselves, and the time changes in the
song are incredible in the way that they play off the lyrics in the slow
sections. Getting back to the fast agressive section tears the roof off.

Where do you get off posting music with this much vitality on an
amateur music site?

Impressive, most impressive &mdash 02/02/06 - 04:49:32 PM
im so impressed with the good feedback for this track.....originally all i had in mind was a song that abruptly went into half-time at the verse. then mass sleep deprivation took its hold and we (4 to 5 diferent personalities rather than the usual 2) spat out this amalgamation of sonic buffoonary.......thanks again for the mad props. being a reclusive home musician, u have no idea how much confidence i have gained since joining MJ's.
Im now getting production lessons from a seasoned pro (not a hooker basked in mixed spice) as am keen to rerecord my music on the advice of others.
so glad your digging my drops beefy !!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a big fan of lyrics and I love your complex rhymes, and the depth of
the message. This is not just music, it's a powerful piece of poetry.
Excellent.

Kick ass lyrics &mdash 02/19/06 - 10:57:07 AM
but I can't fuckin' hear them!!! Don't know what you need to do to pump
them up but they're worth it. There's major power in your words. Make
them louder and put them in the world's face. You've got some seriously
happening stuff. Keep pushing until something breaks. And I have no
doubt you will! Good luck!

a comment thats on my wavelength........

tell the judge to bang his gavel. and as for the skinhead factor, usually my music makes people wanna grab an electric razor and just shave the very top of there head (i call it the overcut) and wear g-strings backwards running around screaming "look at me, im old fish eyes".............
