Description

This is a jazzed up blues number, which I played around with for years.
A special thanks to the following collaborators for their contribution to get my tune to this point.

John Stebbe for his remarkable piano playing.

drlaine for his terrific drum demo on the first half of the number. I was able to section out part of his drum work to make a click track for John and I to work with.

I play the lead, rhythm and bass guitars, GB drum fills and solos on the back end of the tune.

I hope you like.

I tried hard to get a real jazz sound out of this old Fender Stratocaster guitar of mine. It took a lot of messing around with the settings, but I got it to where it sounds warmer than I think it's design to sound. – Garageband settings to the rescue!

I'm just trying to keep up with the warmth of John's piano playing.

Thank you, Tadashi, especially on the drums.

I can't take all of the credit for those drums. Macjams artist, drlaine, gave a great performance to work with. I tried to mix the GB drums in the best way possible without compromising his play.

Drlaine and John Stebbe deserve much credit for making it sound good.

Ooh, baby, do I wish I owned an ES335.

I did own a Gibson ES325, once – and a gorgeous Martin D35 (3-piece back), and an Ibanez Johnny Simth copy (blonde hollow body). All sold for college money many years ago.

MJ's acoustic guitar players will probably want to ring my neck for selling that Martin. I still regret it to this day. :(

	Tooth pick came out dry Tested the center of the cake, looks ready to me. I don't see how you could over bake this formula. I think it has great exchange of guitar to keyboard, filled in just right when the two come together. Nice soft pause late in the song, Love the wrap up at the end. Wish my Strat sounded like that, afraid my fingers can't do that... great job -Harold

I really appreciate you taking the time to listen.

That slight pitchiness is most likely due to me playing with ultralight strings on my strat. It doesn't take much pressure to change the pitch of a note or two, especially when playing with no rock distortion effects....A valuable lesson learned on my end. Next time, medium gauge strings or a new jazz guitar.
