Well the bass sounded real but far away did you record this with a mic or directly into a multi-track recorder?
some things you could do are send it into a computer program and layer it or somthing it needs to be higher in volume and you could up the frequencey a good program is goldwave you can download it at www.downloads.com just type in goldwave at the search its a cool program well hope your bass line turns out well

Good-sounding bass... that's a start..now you just have to get the guitar,
the keyboard the drums and the vocals and pther percussions, and
lengthen it ten times more..and voila...a chart-topper, dude! :-) We'll be
watching as that unfolds.
