Description
I'm not sure how to classify this song. It began as an experiment with no real thought of its direction. I wanted to see what I could do with GB. It uses a number of loops and some of the loops have been modified so it's not completely canned. It's actually the 4th variation and I know there's still room for improvement. Let me know what you think of it.

First step, but a gigantic one...
This is so well-put together. It is hard to find awesome songs in this site
that are totally (or almost totally) constructed from loops. I have not yet
tried using loops exclusively, so I am amazed with how smooth this song
turned out to be and how well-integrated the components are. It takes
talent and great musical sense to do that. It's a little short of a full song,
but just enough to titillate the senses and tease us with what's about to
come from you.

Oh, by the way, I chanced upon your comments on one of my
songs...Thanks, that was heartwarming :-)

First step, but a gigantic one...
Thank you. Coming from someone who's skills and talents I respect, this is
quite a compliment. Initially, I was trying to make something similar to
Enigma or Sacred Spirits (minus the chants) but it took on a life of it's own.
I'm glad you enjoyed it.

good first step
Hi, and a belated welcome to Macjams! This is nice and soft, the loops
do indeed flow together nicely, to create a pleasant piece. I do have a
few critiques. The initial string loop that fades in at first seemed to
repeat as-is a little too long at first before fading out and returning.
Possibly have some other instrument that uses the same 2 notes fade
in to give more texture partway through the repeat. The drums the
come in are good, and I like the changes in the drum rhythms
throughout the song, but they start out pretty loud. Maybe start them
a little softer, then let them build in the refrain? I like the arpeggio
keys and occasional acoustic guitar notes. Overall, a nice piece. Hope
this is helpful!

Thanks for the welcome. I like some of your ideas. There are times when I
write something or put something together and I like it but, I'm not sure what
it is about it I like. So I leave it and maybe I'll think of it later... doesn't seem
to happen that way. So some pieces were left alone even though I wasn't
completely happy with them.

Thanks for the comments, they're much appreciated.
