Song description....hmmmmm, what could a sound titled "Politics, Religion and Football" be about.... let me think.....
It's actually more about talking about politics, religion and football - the three big no-nos.
This one's been on the back burner for a while. I did some of the percussion almost a year ago, added some of the guitars a few months ago and just finished the bass, guitars and vocals in the past few days. Most of the GB file's 35 tracks were taken up with drums and vocals, and I probably would have added more but that was all my poor little iBook could handle.
Again, I'm trying something with a little different sound - something fun. I suck at writing drum parts, so I love to take the drum GB drum loops and overlap them to see what comes out. Some of the percussion loops were also homemade with me just basically pounding rhythmically on my keyboard and hoping it came out sounding good. There are also some, erm, shall we say, rhythmically spoken vocal parts. A little corny, I know, but, again, I'm just having fun.
And if you think the sound was completely ripped off from, say late 1970s early, early 1980s Adam & the Ants, you would be absolutely right.

... Well that just irks me to no end... I slave over my little plastic box
focused intensely for hours and on into days most times; trying to put
together a slick drum ditty and I do this for what... So that you can pop
up and outta nowhere to blow me away w/ this wonderfully composed
drum song; Just pounding and hoping.... - Why do I live... LOL!
I'm really happy for you JG this is really good stuff, is what I'm
ungraciously trying to convey, and I do like it. In addition, you have
some nice vocal work too... Well at least we're both having a good time.
I can tell that you did. And w/ a bit of 'tude too. Very nice bass and
guitar. I'm stupid and have not been playing close enough attention, as
I didn't know that you could thump that fat strings so well. Very, very
decent guitar too. And good lyrics! This is just a great composition all
the way around.
You know, I can sometimes, and maybe too often, I throw out TENS like
there's nothing to it, but I only gave you nines, because apparently I
had issues - I hope that you feel the love though, I'm just razzn' ya.
