Description:
This song is the second part of three in a series. You can find the other songs at my playlist. The first one is "Darker Blue", the third one is "In The Light". The series is about the struggle to dig out of difficulty in an effort to find a better place. There might be a metaphor or two in there somewhere.

Hope you enjoy the song.

Lyrics:
Darker blue behind me
Your love fuels my way
Hold a steady line
Destination in sight

Watch the world grow small
Guess I left it all

Rocket me away
Rock me through the star lit sky
Rocket me away
Shake me down and hold on tight
Rocket me away
Stand me on the midnight light

Jump in the sky
Destiny will have it's reason
Burn into the night
Night and day will have no meaning

Hardware:

tell me to f off if you like but I'd pan the bass drum in the middle rather than out to the side.I like the general sound though - got kind of a nostalgic feel to it - .Vocals/guitar good.Good voice - do you ever really go for it though and do an ian gillan? sounds like you could pull it off.Enjoyed it .Cheerz

Rocket me away......can I come to? &mdash 01/21/06 - 11:01:10 AM
great songwriting here........I liked your vocal effects....I am certainly no
recording wizard, .....it sounded like the vocal, guitar, and drums were all
at the same level....maybe you could bring one up to add a bit of texture
to the piece...paddler suggested in the previous post panning the drums
in the middle, he certainly has better chops than me....maybe that would
remedy the issue............loved the song, listened to every note.....the
initial guitar riff took me back to the Cru (Shout at the Devil days), and I
got a little Black Sabath on the back palate...... thanks for the tune

Thanks for reposting this! So good. This was one of my favorites posted
in 2004 and I'm thrilled it is back in the database as an mp3. I hope you
are over your medical troubles and will soon be able to write and record
more top quality music like this. Welcome back!
