Description:
Its not really rhythm and blues but then I didn't know where to put it.This is the first new song I've recorded since coming back to Mac Jams

Lyrics:
Well its alright Jane you know I'm gonna be there
As sonn as I jump on the next train
That comes along..
So don't you be drinkin in the backyard
You that papa wouldn't like it
Gotta remember its over
Though I know you never did him wrong

But she gets so high
Angels are spinning
She leaves me stoned
Out here on the highway
The north wind blows
Over and across the mountains
And no -one knows
The visions that you've seen

Do u believ in magic
Do you believe in love
Well everybodys sayin that Ive been
runnin with you long enough
But janey lives for dancing
And janey lives for dreams
Tell me wot a man supposed to do
If he don't know what it means

...when she gets so high

Hey paddler,
you continue to put out some great energetic interesting stuff....towards the begining of the tune I was drawing some comparisons to Dario G "Sunchyme"..one of my favs..........when the slide guitar came in and the honkey tonk piano took stage it captured the R/B billing....................is it just me or is there a Dixie Chick influence going on?.......a great listen on my day off.............................t

Dancing in the Chair
This is so GOOD! I can't understand why more people haven't listened
to it, especially since you've been particpating so much this week.

You made some really cool, unusual instrument choices, the synth at
the beginning and the steel-drum really stand out. You play the piano
with so much energy and it's the thing that tips this song out of "good"
into "excellent".

Joy. This song makes me feel happy. Wonderful. The synths are kind of
Casio keyboard sounding and could use more depth, perhaps more edge.
And the drum loops could use more fills leading into and out of sections,
and perhaps a different bass drum and snare sound (it too sounds so MIDI
in spots, compared to the humanness of the weird guitar and the piano),
and in several sections the rhythm isn't as tight as my ears want. But the
whole thing is so fun. A delight. And delightfully sung.

Blow The Top Off of This Puppy
This, in many ways, is a great-sounding piece of music. I really like its
overall SOUND, with its interesting combination of instruments. And as
Tobin's delicate ears noticed, there are some timing issues (I hear them in
the vocals). But all that can be fixed. No big deal.

What I do think this tune could use to move it to a higher level is a more
adventurous vocal that occasionally takes it up the register to meet the
exuberance of the music.

But it's still a very cool tune as it stands. ;-)

Cracking song
A fantastic tune (which stays with you long after it's over). It has a
distinctive Calypso feel and, indeed, a hint of Ronnie Lane. Despite those
nice piano touches it kinda breaks down a bit towards the end (like you
were playing around with the tune but hadn't finalised what you were
going to do). Anyroad, never mind about that, you're a very talented guy
with an ear for a tune and an easy way with a lyric and I still enjoyed this
heaps.

Seriously cool
Not many songs just make me smile.. but this one does- nice kind of
upbeat ditty. Dug the steel drum sounds- everything! Tasty guitar and
groovin' vocals. Great jam!

Great song!
For some reason this song reminds of Jack Johnson, it might be your vocals/vocalstyle! Very nice Guitarplay and some cool sounds on this. But still its the vocals that carries this tune all the way! Very cool octave thing going on there! Great song!

Musical Cross Dressing
Calypso, Reggae and a little Rn'B...not bad at all. Liked the vocal standalone and the airy mood it set even though the male voice is a deep baritone, the octave thing worked although the female voice could have been a little more forward in the presentation. All in all...delighful.

groovy
I am a fan. This song is so boppy and infectious. Total Download. Poppy but modern and alternative if I dare say that trite word. The choices of instruments are inspired. The steel drums and even better the distorted chords on the keys. The lyrics are kinda mainstreamish, but totally unpredictable in places. The warmth of the ---is that a classical guitar? Oh shit, here comes the guitar solo(s), MONSTER! I didn't want it to end.

Very very nice!
Neat song and I love the slide. Seems like you've heard some of those
piano players from down in old New Orleans. The more I hear the more I like.

Very Cool song Richard
Love the theme, and the way you put this together. I knew her a long time ago I'm thinking.

Infectious rhythm and excellent instrumentation and mix. Love the slide guitar in the break. Your vocal is clean and clear and very well done my friend.

Thanks for sharing this one. I was pointed to it by racerat doing his version of it for the MJCC.

Be well ad be cool,

Ed
