Description:
After struggling for a long a time i decided to go back to what i though was fun. Write songs and record it in a hurry. Written and recorded in two hours today. And i have to mention, something spooky happened during the recording. In the end after the guitar has faded out, an unfamiliar voice in a drifferent language appears and says some strange stuff.. Its a bit creepy, I thought stuff like that only happened in the movies! I think it says something like "nate ngarana".....

Lyrics:
I am tired and sick
of not doing good things
days go by
Im feeling quite slick
Lurking out shit
I try so hard
Im trying way to hard
To become whatever you are
But thats not me

I wanna become
something thats my own
so i feel that i have grown
I dont wanna be
a product out of you
It will only make me loose

i like the new style. quick recordings are always the best. i like this, it feels well produced tho i know it was done quickly. same thing happens with me. it's lyrically a bit short, but you use what's there well. it feels a bit more upbeat then i'm used to from you which is cool. the back up vocals add to the song.

still a bizzare change for you &mdash 01/21/06 - 06:36:58 PM
Happy chords and sort of positive lyrics... if it wasn't your voice I
wouldn't have known who it was at all. :P At the beginnings some
lines, your intonation is out a little. Won't make too many comments
cause I havn't really woken up yet today. Other than that, a happier
song in Selter's style... and I reckon your ghosts are turning up to find
out what happened. :P

listening as I write &mdash 01/22/06 - 06:52:11 AM
Its a nice song, man.Exactly how I feel sometimes - I like the fact you left a couple of mistakes in too - Get tired of everything being polished.I've listened to that voice several times with the volume on full and it sounds like 'not gettin off' or something like that.perhaps it's a ghost who can't get a woman.

Beatle-esque &mdash 01/22/06 - 07:02:25 AM
Fantastic tune, you've got a way with a melody Magnus, kind of alternative
Beatles. Great harmony vox.

i love these words... i don't wanna be a product out of you.

lovely little song. i wish i could do something like this in 2 hours!

i'm glad you've rediscovered the fun! i feel ya, though - sometimes it
gets so frustrating!

weird voice at the end! is there more of it or did you cut it off?

The voice probably wanted to tell me more, but thats where the recording ended. I also have to say, that this is not some sort of joke. I have no idea where that voice came from!

the voice &mdash 01/22/06 - 02:15:14 PM
I finally heard it. Had to turn it up. To me it sounds like it sais something like "it's more than good enough".

Probably who ever it was liked the song:)
As I did. First take, when the idea of the song is fresh, usually is a good one.

It would be nice to hear you do a version with a backing vocal with a pitched tune (not sure what you call "andre stemme" in english...:)

hmmm...not about religion? &mdash 01/23/06 - 09:40:48 PM
This is an ode to independence and non-conformity, a cry for liberation
from the pressures of a society, or a domineering entity, that wants us to
be something that we don't wanna be. That's the message I see hear, and
I don't know if that's what you intended it to be. Even in your rushed
work, the politics of your thoughts, accidentally or deliberately, is always
caught melodiously in your music.

Pouring out of you &mdash 01/24/06 - 04:10:35 PM
You've got such a pure voice and way with a melody, I'm really digging your latest work! This has such a sunny, Beatles-esque feel to it - but more along the lines of sixties folk music. For just knocking this out, this is top-notch. Super-catchy and light!

Nice! &mdash 01/25/06 - 08:38:48 AM
Considering this was done in only a couple of hours, this is pretty good.
Nice double vocals - good harmonizing.

But the third voice is pretty unnerving... "Something, something, good
enough"? Does it then start to hum?
Freaky...

Nice track, though

straight ahead &mdash 02/07/06 - 07:51:15 PM
really nice straight ahead stuff, cool lyrics too. Nice to see some
originality out there. Has a little bit of Beatles feel to it.
