Thank you, Bill... &mdash 01/22/06 - 11:07:42 AM
...This sounds like what it is...

Caught me just perfectly in the mood for an evocation of joy.

Leo Kottke would've called this something like, "A Frog Hat Knows No
Bicycle (in Tangiers)"...

Love your keywords, too...

Tune's great, recording's great, performance great...

Ed

That's joyful! I love to listen to these songs you do. They're like flights of
fancy without all the mistakes.

Sounds fine, Bill! Great sense of pulse and musical direction.

Sounds like about three of you. Who needs drums and bass? You're
the whole thing.

Great intonation and articulation.

Great musical imagination to construct a piece like this.

I read somewhere that you had severe back pain. Sorry to hear about
that. You must have been able to get through it long enough to come
up with this marvelous track.

John

As long as I can sit down I am ok, mostly.

Thanks again!

Thanks Rick

I think it really is just the joy of loving to play the guitar and feeling good when I
sit down. At least most of the time a feel better when I sit down. I also
experimented with a new mic position. I love when I have some fresh ideas and
mic positions that I think might work that I never tried before. In this case it was
an over the shoulder boom mic. It is amazing how mics can change sound just
moving a short distance. And onoing process for sure. But the experimentation
can be a joy!

With that back hurting, you sure sound like you manage to keep those pains away with the joy of making music.

This makes me feel good:)

Great playing as usual!

Feeling Better? &mdash 01/22/06 - 04:23:24 PM
Sure Sounds like it, Bill.

This is one happy little tune, flying around sprightly, as if upon wings.

Well played and you've captured an interesting sound of your guitar with
that mic placement.

Keep thinking happy thoughts.

A nice, springy, carefree, grin-from-ear-to-ear tune, Tiler.
Glad you're feeling better and can play about joy!

Lovely pickin' &mdash 01/23/06 - 03:47:19 AM
Joyous composition, Tiles. Got my foot tappin'. Would it benefit from
a little less bass?

Open tuning fun &mdash 01/23/06 - 12:23:52 PM
Nice pickin' there. I would have changed to bass a little more. A little to
much single key (sounded like D to me). With a good lyic though, I
might change my tune.

and dancing tune &mdash 01/23/06 - 02:41:04 PM
Celebration comes to mind, I could grab my wife or children's hand and skip circles to it. Joy in my heart to hear the tune, I enjoyed it ver much, Thanks!

pretty cool &mdash 02/13/06 - 08:48:52 PM
I kind of liked the consistency with the bass notes, as it really makes the
rhythm changes stand out really well. I could really picture listening to
this tune (and I imagine the same holds true for some of your other stuff
as soon as I'm able to listen to it) on a road trip. I'm looking forward to
listening to your other songs, and have a feeling that I'll be liking those as
well.
