Description
My Pretty City is a social commentary tune about Vancouver Canada but it could be applied anywhere. In my usual cynical mode of lyric. I hope it is accepted as the theme song for the 2010 Olympics :)
It's not my usual acoustic rock alternative genre. I made it more techno.

Lyrics
In my pretty city
No one gets connected
if they're too high strung
In my pretty city
You'll never find a boyfriend
if you protest too much
In my pretty city
There's a crystal line of vision
For an avalanche of trust
In my pretty city
In my pretty town
In my pretty city
With the mountains all around
In my pretty city
Developers and realtors
Are chafing at the bit
In my fractious city
Politicians agree
That they'll always be in conflict
In my pretty city
It's not in my back yard
If you wanna get elected
Where did the fine lines go
When did this bright skyline grow
Ohhh hoooo
In my pretty city
Everyone's sitting on a lotus bookshelf
In my pretty city
You don't think about the beggars
Cause it might become yourself
In my pretty city
Toss the hookers off of Davie
And bareback on the trails
In our pretty city...
In my pretty city
If you ever need a cop
They're never to be found
Just outside my pretty city
Forgotten harlots lie
Deep in the frozen ground
In my pretty city
It's hard to get convicted
Of a vicious hate crime
In my selfish city
Does confucious really care
'bout anyone outside *
Who, Who will feed
the sleeping beast
We no longer see
on the desperate streets
Which we won't need
In my pretty city
In my pretty city
Oh in my very pretty city
With the mountains all around
No one gets connected
if they're too high strung
In my pretty city
You'll never find a boyfriend
if you protest too much

sound. Enjoyed this mostly b/c I love Van, East Van to be exact. I wish
could be of more help and offer more feedback or criticism for you to
use, but I like the song the way it is and don't see any need to change
anything. Cheers!
